Worship: For Heaven’s Sake Christians should make decisions based on principles found in the Bible. But there is a problem with that, says Pastor Flemons. “There are principles,” he says. “And there are overriding principles.” But how to apply them in any given situation is the question. Knowing them is only half the key. (Read more below.)
Wellness: For Health’s Sake Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that inflammation is the “-itis” in any disease. Each disease is a hint where the inflammation is in the body. Bursitis, bronchitis, and phlebitis are essentially inflammation in the shoulder or elbow, bronchial tubes, and veins. Whenever there is inflammation you will see certain signs. (Read more below.)

Words of Encouragement
Colossians 3:14-15 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
Proverbs 25:11 A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.

For Heaven’s Sake…
This was the problem for the scribes and Pharisees, as described by Matthew. They had been careful in tithing. But they had left undone those things that were even more important.
Matthew 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
Law is the transcript of God’s character. Judgment is justice. Justice is the enactment of right principles. Judgment and mercy are the fundamental principles of God’s character. And faith is how believers reach that level of character.
“In all of our dealings and workings and decisions, we should be striving to perfect a Christlike character by faith.” Character is all that we will take out of this world, says Pastor Flemons.
Precepts are principles. Principles stacked on principles, as listed in Isaiah 28:10, show that there are principles that are relational but that are scattered throughout Scripture. It also shows that there are principles that override other principles. They are stacked: not always level.
You must remember that decisions should never violate a principle. Some decisions can be between two issues where there is no violation of principle, regardless of the decision made. These can often be the toughest decisions to make. When you deal with a life situation, says Pastor Flemons, it is important to pray for guidance.
We must train our minds to seek God for wisdom. Our prayer should be, “Lord, which principle should I apply here now…in this situation?” Prayer will guide you to the overriding principle. And diligent searching the scriptures will help you to know God’s will.
For instance, one principle found in Exodus 20:12 says, “Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.” But another principle says, “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right” (Ephesians 6:1). The overriding principle is the key phrase “in the Lord.” Parents who are in the Lord and who give godly instruction must be strictly obeyed. Thus, they and God are honored. Ungodly directions must never be obeyed, even if they come from your parents. In this, still God is honored.
Prayer is key. Prayer will help you understand which is the overriding principle in each situation. God promises He will guide you by His Holy Spirit.
John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Isaiah 30:21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, and saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
For Health’s Sake…
You can see redness. You can see swelling. And you can have pain. These are the signs of inflammation. Sometimes you can have all three symptoms. Other times, you may only have one of them.
Inflammation is a pathological process that manifests itself in almost every disease. Essentially it is the result of toxins in the body, an acidic bloodstream, a low pH. The body sees the toxins. The immune system mounts a fighting response. Redness, swelling and/or pain are the result. Complications include arthritis, hypertension, cancer and autoimmune diseases, like multiple sclerosis.
To reverse inflammation, first learn what the underlying cause is. Then get rid of the underlying cause. Generally, toxins are the cause. You must eliminate toxins.
You need an alkaline bloodstream. Drink water. Clear or colorless urine confirms that you are drinking a sufficient supply of water.
Eat an alkaline diet, which includes fruits, vegetables, nuts and grains. Eat more almonds, as your nuts. Eat more millet, as your grains.
Take TOR’s anti-inflammation tonic, which has the plant-based enzymes bromelain and papain, MSM, and turmeric, all powerful anti-inflammatories. It is nature’s natural NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug). Take 1 teaspoon up to 1 tablespoon of the tonic in a small amount of water or juice. Taken two are three times a day, the inflammation in your body will be reduced, say Pastor Flemons.
