Worship: The Last Years of David / Wellness: Breast Cancer

Please see the property Times of Refreshing is claiming in faith as our new headquarters to save lives and train lifesavers. Then please ask God how you can be blessed to help.

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Pastor Flemons called the worship segment “When You’re Old and Cold” for the Facebook audience. He was quick to say that when you are young and unconverted, without the LORD, you will be old and unconverted. Nasty young men become nasty old men. When David was old and cold, he too showed his real colors. (Read more below.)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, discussed the danger of wearing tight clothing and high heels. For the Facebook audience, he called the wellness segment “Dressed to Kill: The Link Between Bras and Cancer.” (Read more below.)

(NOTE: Before following any advice given here, please read our disclaimer on this page.)

Special Prayer was offered for a live call-in listener: 7031. Please pray for the health and salvation of this person’s family. Pray also that the daughter is disciplined in her studies.

Words of Encouragement

Joel 2:25-26  And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.

Psalm 50:15  And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

For Heaven’s Sake…

“David’s early life as a shepherd, with its lessons of humility, of patient toil, and of tender care for his flocks; the communion with nature in the solitude of the hills, developing his genius for music and poetry, and directing his thoughts to the Creator; the long discipline of his wilderness life, calling into exercise courage, fortitude, patience, and faith in God, had been appointed by the Lord as a preparation for the throne of Israel. David had enjoyed precious experiences of the love of God, and had been richly endowed with His Spirit; in the history of Saul he had seen the utter worthlessness of mere human wisdom. And yet worldly success and honor so weakened the character of David that he was repeatedly overcome by the tempter. PP 746.2”

David’s desire for superior national greatness led him to require military service of all of young men who reached a certain age. This required a census be taken. This was not God’s will, and the people, although proud of David, did not sympathize with him in numbering Israel.

“The numbering was not finished when David was convicted of his sin. Self-condemned, he ‘said unto God, I have sinned greatly, because I have done this thing: but now, I beseech Thee, do away the iniquity of Thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.’ The next morning a message was brought to David by the prophet Gad: ‘Thus saith the Lord, Choose thee either three years’ famine; or three months to be destroyed before thy foes, while that the sword of thine enemies overtaketh thee; or else three days the sword of the Lord, even the pestilence, in the land, and the angel of the Lord destroying throughout all the coasts of Israel. Now therefore,’ said the prophet, ‘advise thyself what word I shall bring again to Him that sent me.’ PP 747.1

“The king’s answer was, ‘I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the Lord; for His mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man.’ PP 748.1”

True to David’s character, when he sinned, he repented to the degree of his sin. His compassion for God’s people prompted him to have God only blame him, not the people. God heard his prayer and consented. Still, seventy thousand died from a pestilence.

At age 70, David was to experience yet another rebellion. His son Adonijah was determined to have the kingdom. But God had chosen Solomon for Israel’s next king. When David was informed of the mounting rebellion, he wisely abdicated the throne and immediately, Solomon was anointed and crowned king. With the weight of responsibility upon Solomon, David encouraged him to be faithful in the Lord and to build the temple, as directed by God during Solomon’s reign of peace.

“When he felt that death was approaching, the burden of David’s heart was still for Solomon and for the kingdom of Israel, whose prosperity must so largely depend upon the fidelity of her king. ‘And he charged Solomon his son, saying, I go the way of all the earth: be thou strong therefore, and show thyself a man; and keep the charge of the Lord thy God, to walk in His ways, to keep His statutes, and His commandments, and His judgments, and His testimonies, … that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself: that the Lord may continue His word which He spake concerning me, saying, If thy children take heed to their way, to walk before Me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail thee (said He) a man on the throne of Israel.’ 1 Kings 2:1-4. PP 753.2”

(This study is based on 2 Samuel 24; 1 Kings 1; 1 Chronicles 21; 28; and 29; and chapter 72, “The Last Years of David,” in Patriarchs and Prophets (PP), by Ellen G. White.)

For Health’s Sake…

Pastor Flemons encouraged women to wear cotton underclothing to allow the organs to properly breathe. Synthetic bras trap toxins in breast tissue. Toxins in breast tissue lead to cancer.

The lymph system needs to have continuous free flow to help destroy toxins throughout the body. Push-up bras, strapless bras, tight belts, and other tight clothing compress breast tissue and hinder free flow of lymph. When free flow is hindered, toxins are trapped and disease develops. This sets the stage for cancer.

Similarly, extremities must have proper covering to encourage healthy blood circulation and prevent disease. When exposed, extremities become cooled and body temperature uneven. Blood flow is then constricted, and the heart is burdened to compensate for the cooler areas of the body. Blood becomes stagnant and toxins linger in the system. Disease is the result. Again, the stage is set for cancer.

Wearing high heels causes the pelvis to become tilted. And female problems are the result. Indeed ladies, you can be dressed to kill.

During the next two weeks, Pastor Flemons will focus on lifestyle that can help prevent breast cancer and other diseases of the reproductive system and natural remedies that will help bring healing. Meanwhile, he strongly advises viewing his presentation “Overcome Cancer the REFRESHING Way.”
