Words of Encouragement
Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Psalm 34:16 The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
For Heaven’s Sake…
The nobleman at Capernaum had any good parent’s request. He asked Jesus to come and heal his dying son. He had heard reports of Christ and knew that He met the Bible description of the Messiah. The time was at hand for the Messiah to come, and Jesus gave all the evidence necessary for the nobleman to have a case upon which to base His faith. Yet, this proud father had a caveat. He would accept Jesus only if Jesus performed a miracle to save his son.
This was the elocution of his heart, while with his mouth he pretended to be a believer. Jesus answered the man, but He answered the heart declaration and ignored the pretense of the nobleman’s lips. “Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe,” the Savior declared.
The nobleman had a moment of truth. He realized that He was talking to God in the flesh, for the secrets of his heart were revealed. His attention then goes to his dying son. “Could my selfishness keep Jesus from healing my son?” he thought. He pressed forth his appeal with a sincerity born of repentance. “Sir, come down, ere my child die!” Jesus, accepting the man’s sincere change of heart, wished to build faith in this new believer. Without saying it, “No” was the answer to the request to be escorted. However, he left the nobleman with a promise. If the nobleman had a real change of heart, he would accept the word of Christ as being just as good as the physical presence of the Messiah.
The Bible declares that the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken and that his son began to mend the very hour Jesus spoke the promise.
Are you saying the right things with your mouth, while you are holding back on God, neglecting to make a full surrender? It will cost you your eternal life, if you don’t change the conversation of your heart as did the nobleman.

For Health’s Sake. . .
In the plan of redemption, there really is power in the blood. Rom. 3:25 tells us “Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God.” The blood Jesus has the power to remit sins of the past, as long as we have repented. This blood does not cover future sins that you have not yet committed. Hence, once saved, you are not automatically saved. You must repent and be converted.
The power in the blood is illustrated by the endocrine system. It is a system of glands that secrete hormones that affect almost every cell of the body. It is not electrical current, but it is vital with the “power to change.” Christ shed His blood for us because of His great love for us. What does this love do? “For the love of Christ constraineth us.” Love controls us, not force. The hormones of endocrine glands control the body in fascinating ways.
The endocrine system is a system of glands that secrete hormones into the blood. Hormones are natural, complex body chemicals that affect almost every cell and organ of the body.
The endocrine system is made up of the pineal gland, the pituitary gland, thyroid gland, parathyroid glands, adrenal glands, pancreas, ovaries (in females), and testicles (in males).
Endocrine glands generally select and remove materials from the blood, process them into hormones and secrete the hormone for use somewhere in the body.
Although the hormones circulate throughout the body, each type of hormone is targeted toward certain organs and tissues.
The endocrine system gets some help from organs such as the kidney, liver, heart, and gonads, which have secondary endocrine functions. The kidney, for example, secretes hormones such as erythropoietin and renin.
To hear a brief synopsis of the function of each gland and its hormone, listen to this inspiring message.
