Worship: For Dummies: Righteousness Imputed and Imparted / Wellness: Ginger for Diabetes

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Imputed righteousness is “put” on us to atone for all our past sins. It happens at once, when we accept Christ’s life of righteousness in exchange for our own. That is justification. Imparted righteousness is granted to us gradually and daily, as we learn rightdoing and as living like Christ becomes “part” of our lives. That is sanctification. Neither is earned. It is all according to His mercy. It is as simple as that. (Read more below.)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says ginger is an excellent food to help heal an upset stomach. And it is wonderful to improve circulation and many other things. Then he shared how powerful ginger is, as reported in the food.news article by Isabelle Z. She says that a study has shown the herb, even in small quantities, can prevent diabetes among prediabetics. (Read more below.)

Words of Encouragement

Ephesians 4:30  And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Psalm 51:10-12  Create in me a clean heart, O God; And renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; And take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; And uphold me with thy free spirit.

For Heaven’s Sake…

“Imputed righteousness comes to us not because of any good thing that we have done, for ‘by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.’ Rom. 3:20.” With cords of love the Holy Spirit has drawn us to God, and we have responded to the love with a heart full of repentance for a life of sin. Through baptism, we publically demonstrate the burial of our old lifestyle and the beginning of new life in Christ. The robe of Christ’s righteousness has been “put” on us for our past sins. And the grace of God strengthens us, or is imparted to us, to live for Him moment by moment.

“This act of entering into a new and spiritual life is the second birth. This new life, which reflects His righteousness as from a mirror is a life dedicated to His service. To live this life we will study His Word prayerfully and obey all its requirements cheerfully. To experience true regeneration marks another milestone on The Path to the Throne of God.”

(Read Romans 3:20, 27; 5:6-8, 15; and Titus 3:5.)

For Health’s Sake…

“The researchers found that those who underwent the ginger treatment had significantly lower levels of quite a few parameters. These include the important fasting plasma glucose, insulin, triglycerides, total cholesterol, and inflammation markers C-reactive protein and Prostaglandin E2. They also had lower levels of glycated hemoglobin, or HbA1C, which measures how much sugar is damaging the body’s red blood cells, and a measurement of insulin resistance known as HOMA.

“The amount of ginger the patients took equated to 1.6 grams, which is not a very big amount; it’s roughly equivalent to just ¼ of a teaspoon. They took it in capsule form in doses of 800mg twice per day.

“Ginger comes from the same family of plants as turmeric, which was shown in a recent study published in the journal Diabetes Care to be 100 percent effective in preventing people with prediabetes from developing full-fledged diabetes.”

The article also presented easy ways to include ginger and turmeric in meals. Just remember, says Pastor Flemons that when they say to use black pepper, we say use cayenne. When they say to use scrambled eggs, we say use scrambled tofu.
