Worship: Christ, Our Real Priest / Wellness: Good Wine in Old Bottles

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Jesus, as Lamb of God, was our sacrifice. Jesus, as Intercessor, is our Priest. But Jesus, our Advocate, is also our Judge. And in all these things He shares with us, says Pastor Flemons. Some of us might be sacrificed for the Truth. But He allows all of us to intercede in prayer for others. “At His ascension, He was anointed High Priest in the capacity of Intercessor. . . .The Holy Spirit also cooperates, earnestly pleading with fallen man. Rom. 8:26. (Read more below.)

Words of Encouragement

1 Timothy 5:19, 20  Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses. Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.

1 Timothy 6:11, 12  But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

For Heaven’s Sake…

“Since His ascension, Christ continues Priest ‘forever’ Heb. 6:20, but not always in the same capacity. . . . As on the day of atonement, the typical day of Judgment, the earthly high priest acted as judge of Israel, so during the real day (antitypical day) of Judgment, Christ, our heavenly High Priest, acts in the capacity of Judge, judging first the ‘house of God.’ John 5:22; 1 Peter 4:17. . . . At His ascension, Christ was not only anointed High Priest but He was declared King and crowned the King of Glory. Ps 24:7-10; Heb. 2:9. At that time, He was seated ‘on the right hand of God,’ and ever afterward he ‘shares the Father’s throne.’ Mark 16:19; DA 832.”

For Health’s Sake…

Using the Bible text Matthew 9:17, Pastor Flemons taught about the importance of having a good digestive system. Hence, good wine is good food. Old bottles are poor digestive systems.

Here are seven ways to have a good digestive system.

1. Eat at a regular time. The digestive system kicks in on schedule to do its work. Food needs to be there.

2. Don’t eat between meals. Allow five hours between meals for the digestive system to complete its work of digesting the previous meal. Make your first meal the heaviest meal and the last meal of the day the lightest meal for quick digestion. Eat no more than three meals. Two meals are sufficient.

3. Do not drink with meals. Drinking with meals waters down digestive juices and interrupts proper digestion. If you must, limit liquids to no more than four ounces during your meals, until you can eliminate liquids altogether during mealtimes. If you are thirsty during meals, that means you are dehydrated. Drink a lot of water between your meals, allowing at hour between eating and drinking.

4. Don’t eat too much. This creates toxins!

5. Do not chew too quickly. “We need chew-chew training,” says Pastor Flemons. Chew your foods slowly until they become a liquid.

6. Don’t eat too late. You need to go to bed on an empty stomach.

7. Eat the right foods. Eat lots of raw. Eat fruit in one meal and vegetables in another meal. Neutral foods like avocado and tomato can be eaten in either meal.

Doing otherwise than following these seven principles creates toxins in the system and the body will get sick.
