Worship: God’s Movable Throne / Wellness: Why Ask God to Bless Bad Food?

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  The articles and furniture in the earthly sanctuary had no inherent power in them, as they were only symbols that represented the heavenly. Not so with the heavenly, which are “full of life and activity.” (Read more below.)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says we should never simply consult our taste buds, choose to eat that which is harmful, and expect God’s blessing upon it. (Read more below.)

Words of Encouragement

1 John 1:9  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Hebrews 10:23  Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised). (Also read OHC 124.)

For Heaven’s Sake…

“God’s throne, the antitype of the ark with the mercy seat, is a living, moving, throne. Sometimes it was seen at the ‘threshold of the house’–at the door–and again it ‘stood over the cherubim.’ Ezekiel 9:3; 10:18; Revelation 4:1-6. ‘Whither the Spirit was to go,’ that is, wherever God desired to go, the throne went. Ezekiel 1:12, 20. We must therefore conclude that when Christ at His ascension entered the holy place to begin His work as High Priest in the heavenly sanctuary, God with His living throne, moved to ‘the threshold of the house,’ that is to the door of the holy place, to welcome His Son.

“When Christ began His work of Judgment in the most holy place, God’s throne was moved, or placed, ‘over the cherubim’ in the most holy place. Dan 7:9. When Christ comes back to this earth, He is on the Father’s throne, ‘sitting on the right hand of power.’ Matt. 26:64. And finally, in the redeemed earth, ‘the throne of God’ will be in the City, where Christ will sit down with the Father ‘in His throne.’ Rev. 22:3; 3:21.”

For Health’s Sake…

God can never bless that which will cause us harm, especially when we know it. “That is presumption,” says Pastor Flemons. The meals we eat should be nourishing and according to God’s will. Then we can freely ask God to bless them.

However, that which God has told us to not eat, can never be sanctified for our consumption. Some Bible verses are twisted or misunderstood to sanction certain foods we like to eat. Nevertheless, a complete study will clarify that God never sanctioned the eating of swine (pork) and other unclean animals.

Even clean animals must be crossed off of our list of foods to eat, if we are preparing to live for Christ and for eternity, where there will be no death. Not even animals will be killed. That means there will only be a plant-based diet in Heaven. Think about it. If you can’t imagine living without chewing on the flesh of dead animals here, what will you do in Heaven–for an eternity?
