Worship: Home Reform / Wellness: Aborted Babies in Our Food Supply?

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Home reform follows talks by Pastor Flemons on a number of reforms, including Bible reform, the Spirit of Prophecy reform, Sanctuary reform, Sabbath reform, Worship reform, Country Living reform, Financial reform, and Education reform in his series “Preparation for the Final Crisis.” It’s preparation for Heaven, he says. The importance of the home, including marriage, is measureless.

It is of fundamental importance to understand that it takes two whole persons to make one whole truly married Christian couple. The family depends on that. In turn, societies depend upon families. And as all are sure to attest, “Families are under attack. . . . Selfishness abounds. . . . Roles are misunderstood. . . . And the nation is as bad as it is, because homes are as bad as they are. . . . Homes are to be little heavens on Earth. That is the will of God.”

The problem is often the physical activity prior to marriage, which is “binding and blinding,” says Pastor Flemons. Still, making a second mistake to correct a first mistake is never wise. “It is better to wait and not marry, than to marry the wrong person,” says Pastor Flemons.

“Marriage is a symbol of God Himself,” he says. There is no substitute for God’s favor in marriage. You must be in harmony with God’s will. Indeed, God brings people together, because together they can do a greater work for God than each could do alone. Together, they can properly lay a solid foundation for future benevolence to society.

Ellen White says it this way: “To the lack of right home training may be traced the larger share of the disease and misery and crime that curse humanity. If the home life were pure and true, if the children who went forth from its care were prepared to meet life’s responsibilities and dangers, what a change would be seen in the world!” {MH 351.1}

Worship: For Health’s Sake  Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says the question is “Are aborted babies in our food supply?” The question was prompted by an NPR article he shared from 2012. The article reported a senator’s research revealing “companies in the food industry that have used human stem cells to help them research and develop products, including artificial flavorings.”

“Shame on anyone using fetuses for foods,” says Pastor Flemons. Yes. It should be criminal to act upon the thought. And shame on anyone to ever think of doing such a thing. Nevertheless, the debate continues as to whether such practices are actually occurring. “There must have been enough evidence,” says Pastor Flemons, for an Oklahoma senator to introduce a bill prohibiting the manufacture or informed sell of “food or any other product intended for human consumption which contains aborted human fetuses in the ingredients or which used aborted human fetuses in the research or development of any of the ingredients.”

We must be careful, says Pastor Flemons. But if we are eating God’s way, we will avoid consuming artificial flavors.”You are encourage to do your own research,” he says, and know what you are eating.
