Worship: 7 Bible Must-Dos / Wellness: Breathe to Lower HBP

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake We must do seven things with our Bibles, says Pastor Flemons.

For 1. Study the Bible to see what it says for yourself. 2. Search the scriptures for answers to your questions. 3. Receive the Word from others with all readiness of mind; but then confirm that the Word really does say so or not. 4. Treasure the Word in your heart; it produces obedience. 5. Simply obey, without looking for a “good” reason to disobey. 6. Don’t simply hear the Word; do what it says. 7. Know the Bible.

[For further details, read 2 Timothy 2:15; John 5:39; Acts 17:11; Revelation 3:10; 1 Samuel 15:22; James 1:22; 2 Timothy 3:15. Also listen to the recording to hear the commentary of Pastor Flemons, who sang Hymn 27, “Give Me the Bible.”]

Wellness: For Health’s Sake Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that people with high blood pressure need to know how to simply pray and breathe to lower it. He says, “Remember 7, 9, and 11.” Calmly inhale for 7 seconds. Hold that breath for 9 seconds. Then exhale it for 11 seconds. Then check your blood pressure.

[For more details, please listen to the recording.]

Sharing and Caring Time Sis. Maria encouraged listeners with her comments and a reading from the Power of Prayer, “Praying in Christ’s Name,” Chapter 60. The last two quotes of the chapter were read, which in part include these key statements that were located in another source: “We must not only pray in Christ’s name, but by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. ” And praying in Christ’s name “means that we are to accept His character, manifest His spirit, and work His works.

TORSOE announced a variety of online classes to learn biblical wellness for medical missionary work. Some of the classes will be free. Other classes will bear a reasonable cost. These classes will be cover spiritual, mental and physical health.

Special Prayer  Please include in your prayers today Listener 9206, who asks that we pray for her, her children, and her relatives. Pray that she will be victorious over the temptations to be intemperate.

Remember to pray for a 21-year-old widow (Omelia of Trinidad) whose husband was witness to a murder case, but was gunned down with 22 bullets. Left is his young family, including an unborn child, who is now struggling in so many ways, as they witnessed his murder. Prayers and financial offerings are welcome. Send contributions to this ministry and mark it for Omelia. The final day to contribute is July 5.

Listener 7222 asks that we continue to pray for her (especially with her job situation) and her family to have safe traveling mercies.

Please pray for Gia, Ruby and Eunice. Also please pray for a young mother who is in distress during her pregnancy with twins and who must have her twins delivered immediately in order to save her life and their lives.

Pray for TORSOE’s need for a campus to promote healing and train medical missionaries.

Pray for the unspoken prayer requests of each heart.
