Worship: For Heaven’s Sake Every article of the sanctuary represents Christ the Messiah in some way. The entrance of the court, also called the gate, represents Christ, by whom is the only way to the Father. Of Himself He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6). The way into the sanctuary was a hanging of royal colors like those of the rainbow of promise. (Read more below.)
Wellness: For Health’s Sake Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, reviewed a MedicalNewsToday article that compared the Mediterranean diet with the ovo-lacto vegetarian diet for heart health, as opposed to those who regularly eat a diet of animal flesh and animal byproducts, like dairy and eggs. The Mediterranean and vegetarian diets were concluded to be superior to the normal American diet. (Read more below.)

For Heaven’s Sake…
“These royal colors must have some definite spiritual meaning in this divine object lesson. . . White is a symbol of purity and righteousness. Rev. 19:8. Scarlet represents sacrifice. Rev. 19:13. Purple signifies royalty. John 29:2, 3. Blue indicates obedience to the eternal truth of heaven, as shown by God’s direction that a ribbon of blue should border the uniform to be worn by the children of Israel. Num. 15:37-40. This blue ribbon, from which has come the expression “true blue,” was to be a reminder that God’s children are to obey all His commandments; they are to be “true blue.” [Likewise, could it be that the blue of the sky also is a reminder to keep the commandments of God?] As blue mixed with scarlet produces purple, so obedience to God’s eternal truth added to sacrifice makes royalty. These significant symbols apply both to Christ and to His followers. The fine white linen represents His righteousness, the blue, the scarlet, and the purple–all royal colors–represent His eternal truth, His sacrifice, His kingship.” PTG 41 (PTG 30, 31)

For Health’s Sake…
The Mediterranean diet essentially promotes high quantities of vegetables, fresh fruit, legumes, beans, nuts, and seeds; a moderate amount of fish and poultry, such as chicken, duck, turkey, salmon, sardines, and oysters; eggs; limited amounts red meats and sweets; and a glass a day of red wine and water as the main beverage.
“A lacto-ovo-vegetarian diet excludes meat, poultry, fish, seafood, and any foods that are derived from them, but it includes eggs and dairy products such as milk, yogurt, and cheese.”
But the diet of the Bible, which is a total plant-based diet is even better than all others for heart health and for every other body system, says Pastor Flemons. It excludes the flesh of dead animals and their byproducts. It also excludes alcoholic beverages. Water is the main beverage. The juices of vegetables and fruits are encouraged, particularly for healing purposes. Based on Genesis 1:29, it is a diet of nuts, seeds, grains, fruits and vegetables and is an essential part of the REFRESHING Way lifestyle.
