Words of Encouragement

Psalm 32:7  Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; Thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.

Habbakkuk 2:3, 4 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

For Heaven’s Sake…

Only four, no more, no less, was the command, “See that thou make it after the pattern” (Exodus 25:9, 40). “Why four? For the same reason that the vail, which represented His flesh, Heb. 10:20, was hung on four pillars, and for the same reason that when He tabernacles on earth, inspiration gave us His life in four gospels. As seven in the Bible indicates completeness and perfection, so the number four in the sanctuary, must have some divine significance. This number occurs in the four coverings, the four ingredients of the shewbread, the incense, the anointing oil, also in the fourth commandment and in other places, where it also points to Christ.” PTG 41 (PTG 31)

For Health’s Sake…

Diet is now found to be as important to mental health as it is to the health of the heart, hormones and digestion. They have now learned that meat, dairy, processed foods, and sugar create more inflammation and, consequently, depression. An improved diet is now connected to improvements in depression.

Says Pastor Flemons, “Science is catching up to the Bible.” “When you eat the diet of the Bible,” he says, “depression subsides.” The diet of the Bible is a total plant-based diet of nuts, grains, seeds, fruits and vegetables that excludes not only the flesh of dead animals but also their byproducts, like dairy and eggs.

The article reports, “In some studies, healthy eating — fruits, vegetables, healthy fats and whole grains — was in fact linked to lower risk of depression and even suicide.”
