Worship: Fine Brass / Wellness: Drugs and Money Go Together Like Peanut Butter and Honey

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  As brass is formed only in a furnace of earth, so the Christian is refined in a furnace of affliction. (Read Isaiah 48:10.) “Fine brass, mentioned only twice in the Scriptures, was brass of so superior quality that its value was greater even than gold.” Fine brass, as if burned in a furnace, describes the feet of Jesus in Revelation 1:15. It signifies a suffering far greater than any human being could imagine. (Read more below.)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Opioid companies have been found to reward doctors who are high prescribers of opioid medicines. This is according to a CNN.com article that Pastor Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, shared with listeners. Two federal government data bases revealed that half of more than eleven thousand doctors were paid by pharmaceutical companies that made opioids. The more doctors prescribed opioids, the more money they received. It was found that those in the top tier made four times as much as the average doctor, because of their opioid-related rewards. It is clear. Money influences doctors to provide prescriptions that keep patients as patients. Don’t buy the hype. Live the the REFRESHING Way lifestyle and overcome pain naturally.

Words of Encouragement

Psalm 96:4-6  For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: He is to be feared above all gods. For all the god of the nations are idols: But the LORD made the heavens. Honour and majesty are before him: Strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

Psalm 96:7-9  Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, Give unto the LORD glory and strength. Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: Bring an offering, and come into his courts. O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: Fear before him, all the earth.

For Heaven’s Sake…

Jesus was “a man of sorrows.” He was “acquainted with grief.” He was “wounded for our transgressions.” He was “bruised for our iniquities.” On Him was laid “the iniquity of us all.” And “though ‘He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth,’ yet ‘He made His grave with the wicked.’ Only ‘fine brass’ could illustrate the sufferings of Christ. It is even written, ‘It pleased the Lord to bruise Him’–Isa. 53:10–even His own beloved Son. . . . ‘With His stripes we are healed.'” (Read Isaiah 53:3-5.)

“Christ was treated as we deserve, that we might be treated as He deserves. He was condemned for our sins, in which He had no share, that we might be justified by His righteousness, in which we had no share. He suffered the death which was ours, that we might receive the life which was His. With His stripes we are healed” from our infirmities and from our sicknesses. (Read Matthew 8:17.)

“Christ not only Himself suffered death at the altar, but there He tasted death for every man. Heb. 2:9; there He ‘exhausted death.’ This is strength! This is stability! This is endurance! This is victory!”
