Worship: For Heaven’s Sake There was a reason that Jesus said to let the wheat and tares grow together until the harvest, and the Transfiguration event shows why. Jesus had taken only James, John and Peter with Him to the mount where they witnessed Jesus transfigured before them. His face shone as the sun. His clothing was “white as the light.” They saw Him talk with Moses and Elijah, who respectively represented the two types of believers at Christ’s glorious second coming: the resurrected dead and those who never tasted death. Peter immediately boasted his idea that three tabernacles should be erected. But the glory of the Father appeared and the sound of God’s voice hushed him.
“While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him” (Matthew 17:5). At once, all three disciples fell to the ground face down with fear, until Jesus encouraged them. They showed the unreadiness of God’s people. But it also shows, says Pastor Flemons, that with Christ, tares can become wheat and they all can be encouraged to rise with Him without fear and be saved. Peter, who once denied his Lord, is a prime example.
Peter’s “testimony shows that the design of the transfiguration was to illustrate Christ’s second, personal, glorious coming and the future kingdom of glory, and that this kingdom will be set up at the period of the second advent, and the resurrection and change of the just to immortal life. He says; For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eye-witnesses of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honor and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. And this voice which came from Heaven we heard when we were with him in the holy mount.” 2 Peter 1:16-18. {TTKGG 17.3}

Wellness: For Health’s Sake Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, wants you to understand the damage typically done to the stomach. If it could talk, it would tell you (1) to stop feeding it meat, including fish and chicken. It can’t completely digest it. Undigested protein is toxic and becomes cancerous to the body. (2) It would say to stop feeding it dairy, which is high in antibiotics, mucus, bacteria and hormones. (3) It would say to stop feeding it sugar and white flour products, which are toxic. (4) It would say to stop feeding it continuously. It needs five hours to digest the previous full meal. (5) It would say to stop feeding it at bedtime. It needs rest to be ready for the next day’s work. (6) It would say to stop feeding it spicy foods. They cause headaches, irritability and stomach issues. (7) It would say to stop feeding it dyes, and chemical-laden foods. They are indigestible and cancerous too!

Special Prayer Please include in your prayers today call-in listener 5638. This precious healthy ninety-three-year-old asked that we pray only for one thing: that she remains faithful in all things so that she may see Jesus in peace. One other listener sent a text requesting that we pray for her husband, who is scheduled for surgery on his legs. He is in a lot of pain.
Pray also for those undergoing surgery today and all grieving families (especially spouses). Pray for those fighting for their lives and against depression. Also pray for people living in areas of extreme heat and in those areas at risk of being destroyed by hurricanes and tornadoes and other natural disasters.
Remember to continue praying for the entire TOR broadcast family, that GOD will be free to bless us in the way that HE really wants to in 2018. Thank you!

Words of Encouragement
Ephesians 3:17-19 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Jeremiah 29:12, 13 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. (Also read FW 76.3.)
