3 Things God Requires

In this worship segment, Pastor Shelem Flemons read Micah 6:8.

Mic. 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Pastor Flemons then showed that Micah 6:8 gives the same requirements that Jesus gave when He taught the weightier matters of the law.

Matt. 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

Justice is right doing and is bolstered by God’s promise to give victory over sin. Mercy is to be extended to our fellowman as God has extended mercy to us. Victory has been promised to those who exercise faith.

Dangers of Eating Too Much Protein

Sister Maria Flemons shared 4 combinations that help us to get a complete protein. Combinations of whole grains and legumes, whole grains and vegetables, legumes and vegetables, and legumes with nuts and seeds will all provide complete protein.

Finally, even if a meal does not provide a complete protein, the body will store the amino acids from one meal and combine them with the amino acids of another meal in order to build a complete protein.
