Worship: Lamb on the Altar / Wellness: Making Healthy Hamburgers

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Pastor Flemons described the process of justification, which took place daily in the courtyard of the sanctuary.  He explained that each sacrificial lamb or offering represented Jesus, the Lamb of God, that takes away the sins of the world. Using Psalm 77:13; Romans 5:1 and 3:25; 1 John 1:9; Luke 10:20; and Revelation 21:27, Pastor Flemons explained what the sanctuary provides, how past sins are forgiven, how not to grieve the Holy Spirit, how to have peace with God, how to have our names written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, and what unconfessed sin brings. He also gave a bit of history about the “once saved, always saved” belief and indulgences.

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Chef Lance Williams, of Times of Refreshing Wellness Ministry, demonstrated how to make healthy hamburgers (oatburgers). The demonstration is available on the TOR YouTube channel under the title “How to make a healthy hamburger and eat it like a horse.” The recipe is below.

OATBURGERS
½ cup walnuts
½ cup sunflower seeds
4½ cups boiling water
1 Tbsp. + 2 tsp. Herbamare
1/8  tsp. oregano
1½ tsp. sweet basil
1½ tsp. Italian seasoning
1/4 cup nutritional yeast flakes
1/8 red pepper, diced and sautéed
1 large onion, diced and sautéed
2 Tbsp. leek, diced and sautéed OR
2 Tbsp. of dried chives
4½ cups rolled oats OR
2 1/4 cups of quick oats & 2 1/4 cups rolled oats
Grind or chop walnuts and sunflower seeds to a coarse meal.  Add seasonings and all other ingredients, except rolled oats, to boiling water.  Gently stir in rolled oats until moist, and then let sit on a cooling rack until partially cooled. Using a large tablespoon, place cooled mixture into a canning jar lid, wrapped with plastic wrap, pressing mixture firmly. Then turn over onto a oiled cookie sheet. Remove ring. Then press down on lid to remove lid. Hence, you have a perfectly shaped burger.  Bake at 350° for 30 – 45 minutes, or until slightly browned.
