Worship: For Heaven’s Sake Pastor Flemons focused on the laver and its symbolism for cleansing or being born by the water and by the Spirit. Ezekiel 36:26,27; John 3:3-6; Psalm 51:10; Matthew 28:19,20; and Romans 6:4 were used to teach that God’s Spirit gets put into us and inspires us to obey God’s Word. This is the new life that begins as a result of being born again.
Wellness: For Health’s Sake Combining this time in part with QT/QT time, Pastor Flemons invited listener participation in teaching the importance of water to the body’s major organs. Each of these organs must have water to achieve its unique bodily function. Water allows the kidneys to perform urination, the liver to achieve detoxification, the lungs to perform respiration, the colon to achieve defecation, and the skin to perform perspiration. Water is a cleanser. The book Ministry of Healing, authored by Ellen G. White, tells us that we must assist nature in her efforts to expel impurities from the bodily systems (p. 127.1). Healing, therefore, is linked to cleansing.
