Worship: The Ephod / Wellness: Why more people do not accept a plant-based diet

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  The ephod, sometimes translated as apron, was worn over the blue robe of the high priest of Israel. “It was the most costly and the most magnificent of his garments, being made entirely of ‘gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine-twined linen,’ Ex. 39:3, every thread of which represented the perfect character of Christ. This gorgeous material richly embroidered with real gold thread identified the high priest personally and officially with the gate of the court, the door of the tabernacle, the vail, and the beautiful inner covering of the sanctuary, all of which were of the same costly material and skillful workmanship as the ephod.” (Please read Exodus 39:3; 29:29; Matthew 5:48; Hosea 11:4; Jeremiah 31:3 and PP 351. Also, listen to the recording to hear more important details and Pastor Flemons sing “Not I, But Christ.”)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, agrees with a health.news article that says, “Switching to a plant-based diet is easier said than done.” But when it comes to tips for making the switch more successfully, Pastor Flemons advises going on a 10-day juice feast, rather than making small gradual steps. The 10-day juice feast in which mostly green vegetables are juiced, not simply blended, provides high cellular nutrition for the body, which strengthens the immune system and heals perverted tastebuds. It is taste and cravings that mostly hinders the switch. As the article reports, “The food industry is mostly responsible, … as they have produced pleasure-seeking foods that combine fat, sugar, and salt into products with addictive taste and texture. He further explained that humans have a biological mechanism by which the pleasure hormone dopamine is released. In turn, dopamine creates a behavioral condition that makes people crave for these kinds of foods.”

Special Prayer for call-in listener 7222, who asks that we pray for her conference call with her professor and another faculty member. The call is scheduled for Tuesday (tomorrow) at noon. She needs to get at least a B for the class.

Also pray for the family of Dr. Roy Malcolm, of Huntsville, AL, who passed yesterday at 5 am. Dr. Malcolm was an administrator and faculty member of Oakwood University and supervisor to Sis. Audrey, Kaven Ible, and another faithful call-in listener on the live Worship and Wellness Broadcast. Dr. Malcolm leaves a wife, Edrene, two sons and three daughters.

Also pray for 2-week-old Natalia Woods, who has heart problems.

Pray for Sis. V. Chester’s brother: Lenox.

And pray for the widow’s campaign. TOR is raising $1000 for a recent widow, who has since become legally blind and can no longer work.

Remember to continue praying for the entire TOR broadcast family, that GOD will be free to bless us in the way that HE really wants to in 2018. Thank you.

Words of Encouragement

Romans 5:8, 9  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that , while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Romans 5:10, 11  For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. (Read also MH 161.)
