Worship: For Heaven’s Sake The priest wore an equal number of bells and pomegranates at the bottom of his robe. Bells make noise. Pomegranates, of course, don’t. They are fruit. Just as the resounding golden bells equaled the pomegranate fruit in number, the fruit of our lives should equal the sound our profession, says Pastor Flemons. There is a problem when we just make noise, while our lives don’t reflect what we say we believe. How we live is really how we believe. We must not only talk it. We must walk it, says Pastor Flemons. (Please listen to the recording to hear more important details and Pastor Flemons sing “It Takes Everything to Serve the Lord,” “Do You Know Oh Christian, You’re a Sermon in Shoes?” and “I Love to Tell the Story.” Also read 1 Corinthians 13:1; Matthew 23:1-3; Galatians 5:22, 23; and Psalm 1.)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake Have sex only with your own spouse, and abstain from sex if you have no spouse. Let abstinence be your vaccine against HPV (human papillomavirus), which can lead to cervical cancer, says Pastor Shelem Flemons. Nevertheless, he suggested natural remedies for those with HPV.
