Worship: For Heaven’s Sake Today Pastor Flemons presented the third mystery: the mystery of iniquity. This mystery was so called in 2 Thessalonians 2:7 by Paul, when he spoke of the falling away from truth to embrace tradition above truth. Ezekiel 28:15-17 identifies the origin of iniquity. It was found in the covering cherub in heaven, although he was made perfect. It remains a mystery, although we know it began in the mind, according to Isaiah 14:12-14. May God help us avoid lingering on unholy thoughts.
Wellness: For Health’s Sake As this is national breastfeeding week, Pastor Flemons discussed the benefits of breastfeeding. A long list of diseases can be avoided simply by breastfeeding your infant: stomach viruses, lower respiratory illnesses, ear infections, and meningitis. Many lifelong allergies can also be avoided. Breastfed babies tend to be smarter babies and are protected against obesity. Mothers are also benefited. They tend to have less stress. Nursing at least 1 year protects mothers against breast cancer.
QT/QT Pastor Flemons told the story of a mother suffering with postpartum depression, whose behavior could have gotten her committed to an insane asylum. At TOR, her behavior was reversed and normalized within 3 days.
