Wellness: For Health’s Sake We got to meet Chelsea Claire, a 19-year-old medical missionary. Chelsea Claire just completed her first experience in the work. She says, “It was a cool experience!” After three weeks at Times of Refreshing Wellness Retreat, Chelsea Claire is certain she will be a medical missionary. Although she saw people’s health improve in various ways, she is most impressed with ear candling, a process of releasing toxins through the ear. Most importantly, she says her faith has been strengthened by the experience of seeing people get healthy by simple natural biblical methods. “It was amazing!” she said. Referring to Chelsea Claire’s assistance at the wellness retreat, Pastor Flemons said that she has been “a tremendous blessing!”

For Heaven’s Sake…
“Liberty is the hallmark of the Gospel,” said Pastor Flemons. “We have to allow people to live by the dictates of their conscience.” He provided a summary of the beginnings of Protestantism at the Diet of Speyer (or Spires in present-day Germany) in 1529. After giving a couple of examples of arbitrary authority, Pastor Flemons warned against submitting to arbitrary authority rather than to the supreme authority of God’s Word. “Republican rights are not guaranteed in the Bible, but Protestant rights are,” he said.
Pastor Flemons encouraged that we should not look for miracles as signs. Referring to a passage of Scripture (Matthew 16:1-4), Pastor Flemons said “Prophetic events help us know that the Bible is telling the truth.”
