Words of Encouragement

Joshua 1:9  Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Psalm 121:7  The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

For Heaven’s Sake…

God wants to enlarge your territory. “Far and wide and fast and complete will be the blessing that God will give you,” says Pastor Flemons. Referring to 1 Corinthians 2:9, “We can’t even imagine it,” he says.

1 Corinthians 2:9  But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

But there is a condition. We must meditate day and night upon the word of GOD, the book of the law, and be obedient. It is then that we can be assured of good success and prosperity.

Joshua 1:8  This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Only don’t be afraid. Be strong. Be courageous enough to claim God’s promises. Those who were afraid did not enter into the promised territory. They died. In fact, all those who reported giants being in the promised land and everyone who believed their report died and did not enter it. Instead, they complained the whole way, until they died. Only the two of the original million or so, who were courageous enough to believe in divine success, lived to enter the territory God promised. To them and those born afterward along the way, God said this:

Joshua 1:3  Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.

For Health’s Sake…

Pastor Flemons has long believed that the antibiotics given to animals must play a significant role in the health of those whose diet consists of or includes the flesh of dead animals. In a brief, less-than-2-minute report, Dr. Gupta reveals that the antibiotics given to animals and later ingested by those who eat their flesh cause the bacteria in flesh-eaters to be resistant to antibiotics when antibiotics are really needed. This should be a major and widespread concern, as last year 20 out 25 of America’s largest fast food chains received an F-rating, based on the routine use of antibiotics in the meats they serve.

This year is not much better, says Dr. Gupta. Sixteen out of the 25, received an F-rating. The only two that received an A-rating both last year and this year are Panera Bread and Chipotle Mexican Grill.

“The report, called Chain Reaction II, is co-authored by six nonprofit activist organizations, including the National Resources Defense Council, Consumers Union and Friends of the Earth. It seeks to sound the alarm about the overuse of antibiotics in poultry and livestock, typically ‘to help them survive and make them grow faster in unsanitary, crowded and stressful conditions.’

‘This misuse of antibiotics contributes to antibiotic resistance — the ability of bacteria to withstand exposure to an antibiotic,” the authors write. “Antibiotic resistance makes treatment of bacterial infections harder, increases how long people are sick, and make it more likely that patients will die. Curbing the misuse of antibiotics in the meat industry is a public health imperative.'”
