Words of Encouragement

2 Corinthians 9:8  And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.

Psalm 34:8  O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

For Heaven’s Sake…

The testimony of Jesus Christ is the spirit of prophecy.

Revelation 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

The Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 1:6,7, explains that those waiting for the coming of Jesus must have the testimony of Christ confirmed in us so that we are not lacking in any gift. “The spirit of prophecy is a gift,” says Pastor Flemons. It must be tested by the word of God. It must line up with the word of God. And the prophecies must come true and stand the test of time. Especially will this gift be beneficial, even necessary, just prior to the coming of Jesus. Joel speaks of this gift being manifested in these last days.

Joel 2:28  And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.

The spirit of prophecy has been seen, just as Joel prophesied, in a young woman who is the world’s most prolific female author of all time, says Pastor Flemons. With only a third grade education, she wrote on Bible topics from Genesis to Revelation, the life of Christ, education, health, the family, and many other topics that are pertinent for us today with a depth of understanding that could only come from God. Much of what the world is now beginning to acknowledge about the relationship between one’s diet and health was said many years ago by Ellen G. White before her death in 1915.

As a result of her writings, Pastor Flemons was drawn to the ministry of healing as a young college student, per his testimony during the broadcast, and the Times of Refreshing Wellness Ministry was born more than fifteen years ago.

For Health’s Sake…

In particular, Psalm 119 provides several reasons to begin with understanding asthma. For one, understanding it motivates you to do what it takes to be faithful in overcoming in the face of temptation (verse 34). Understanding it will promote a greater desire to learn more about what to do (verse 73). When you understand it, you will live (verse 144), because you will be doing what God said (verse 125) and according to His word (verse 169).

Asthma is an allergy. An asthma attack is an allergic reaction caused by an excess of protein in your body. Undigested protein is a result usually of consuming animal products: meat and dairy. Vegetarians with asthma are usually consuming too much protein in the form of nuts and seeds and not enough green vegetables.

In fact, says Pastor Flemons, anything that hinders digestion hinders the digestion of protein: drinking with your meals, eating between meals, eating big meals late at night. The body, therefore sees the undigested protein as toxins and mounts an immune response, sending antibodies to the site of affection (the foreign protein) and creating a rise of histamine. Because histamine is a vasodilator, blood vessels swell in various parts of the body.

Swelling in the eyes causes them to itch. Swelling in the skin produces a rash. Swelling in the digestive tract causes an upset stomach. Swelling in the brain causes headaches, including migraines.

Swelling in the lungs is what we call asthma. Swelling in the lungs causes the bronchial tubes to constrict to give place for the expanding blood vessels. Consequently, you experience difficulty in breathing.

One tip, says Pastor Flemons, is to get rid of dairy in your diet, and you may get rid of asthma immediately. The protein in cow’s milk is much larger than the protein in human breast milk. The body is not able to handle the protein in cow’s milk very well, because it sees it as a foreign protein. More will come in the next broadcast.
