Words of Encouragement

Exodus 15:2-3   The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him. The Lord is a man of war: the Lord is his name.

Psalm 18:32  It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.

For Heaven’s Sake…

Guard your five senses. Pastor Flemons directed our attention to the original unfortunate fall on earth and asked that we note when the senses became involved in the following passage of Scripture.

Genesis 3:1-7

Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

We find ourselves falling helplessly into sin when we allow our senses to linger on alluring sinful enticements. The tactics of our enemy have not changed. Satan tempts us only through our five senses. God wants us to guard all of them.

We must guard what aromas we inhale, what sounds and scenes we allow to captivate us, what we caress, and what we taste. They are the portals to our emotions.

“This will require earnest prayer and unceasing watchfulness. The abiding influence of the Holy Spirit will attract the mind upward to dwell on pure and holy things. ‘Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to Thy word.’ ‘Thy word,’ says the psalmist, ‘have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against Thee.'” Psalm 119:9, 11. (Ellen G. White, From Eternity Past, p.325.4)

For Health’s Sake…

First the diabetes must be controlled. To do this, lower sugar intake.

Cleanse the system so that the insulin will do its work of escorting glucose. Fasting is recommended.

Increase circulation using herbs and hydrotherapy. Warm and cold submersion treatments will do a lot to heal the body. Herbs like cayenne, ginkgo biloba, gotu kola, and horse chestnut are excellent to help increase circulation.

Pastor Flemons discussed TOR’s Very Close Veins Tonic, which contain herbs that will help overcome neuropathy, and said, “It’s not hard. It’s easy. It can be done.”
