For Heaven’s Sake…
Self-seeking jealousy led the devil, then called Lucifer, to misrepresent God as being unfair. (He is still doing that today.) He felt that he had equal rights with God.
Ezekiel 28:14, 15, 17 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou was upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. 17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
Revelation 12:7-12 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, and prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Isaiah 14:12-14 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations? For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
Rebellion was new. It was not understood by the angels and unfallen worlds. One-third of the angels defected and sided with Lucifer, believing his lies about God, and were cast out of heaven with him. (Read Revelation 12:4.) If God had immediately destroyed Lucifer, questions about God would have persisted for an eternity.
The first and second commandments require that only God is to be worshipped and bowed down to. Satan wanted and still wants to be worshipped. He wants the worlds to bow down to him. Thus, Satan hates God’s law. God had to allow Satan’s hatred of God’s law to play out. The remaining angels, therefore, would be free to love God and obey Him from a heart of love rather than fear. Pastor Flemons says, “God had to demonstrate His true character in the plan of redemption, which centers in the life and death of His only begotten Son.”

For Health’s Sake…
Never should chunks of food be swallowed. That is how indigestion and acid reflux develop. Food should be slowly chewed until it is liquid. Therefore, drink your foods. Pastor Flemons says, “It takes about twenty-nine chews to make most foods liquid.” But he does not encourage counting. Just chew until its liquified.
When foods are thoroughly masticated, the stomach is relieved from the burden of dealing with chunks of food. Carbohydrates must be broken down into simpler forms of sugar for proper digestion. The process of breaking down carbohydrates, which properly begins in the mouth, continues until the stomach acids reach a certain concentration to deactivate the process.
Drinking with meals also prevents the normal digestion of foods in the stomach. Therefore, do not drink with your meals. It also interferes with the function of saliva. The salivary glands secretes into the mouth enzymes, which begin the digestion of the carbohydrates. The saliva is naturally slightly acidic to do its job.
Saliva does not digest fats or proteins. That is one reason deep fried foods are not recommended. But that will be discussed in detail later during this study on the digestive system.
