Worship: For Heaven’s Sake The prophet Elijah demanded Ahab and all Israel (or professed believers) assemble on Mount Carmel with all the prophets of Baal and Ashtoreth. Then Elijah asked this question of all the people: “How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow Him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word” (1 Kings 18:21). The great controversy was, and still is, all about worship. (Read more below.)
Wellness: For Health’s Sake Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, discussed the value of hydrotherapy to help heal diseases of the reproductive system. (Read more below.)

Words of Encouragement
Proverbs 10:22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
Ephesians 6:10-11 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

For Heaven’s Sake…
“Neutrality in a crisis is worse than treason,” said Pastor Flemons, who gave numerous current examples of worship to Baal versus worship to the God of Heaven. Anything not of the Lord is of Satan. They share nothing in common, especially worship. Worship that is not divine is satanic. And we all need to be certain that we aren’t worshipping Baal today.
Can you imagine, for instance, the music of “Onward Christian Soldiers” playing in the club with satanic lyrics and the people enjoying themselves? Would it even be allowed? No. But professed Christians regularly worship using the music of the club with Christian lyrics. And God’s people say nothing.
Elijah ordered sacrifices and material to build two altars and then said this to the people: “And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken” (1 Kings 18:24).
“Carmel overlooked a wide expanse of country; its heights were visible from many parts of the kingdom of Israel. At the foot of the mount there were vantage points from which could be seen much of what took place above. God had been signally dishonored by the idolatrous worship carried on under cover of its wooded slopes; and Elijah chose this elevation as the most conspicuous place for the display of God’s power and for the vindication of the honor of His name.PK 144.2
“Outwardly bold and defiant, but with terror in their guilty hearts, the false priests prepare their altar, laying on the wood and the victim; and then they begin their incantations. Their shrill cries echo and re-echo through the forests and the surrounding heights, as they call on the name of their god, saying, ‘O Baal, hear us.’ The priests gather about their altar, and with leaping and writhing and screaming, with tearing of hair and cutting of flesh, they beseech their god to help them.PK 149.2
“The morning passes, noon comes, and yet there is no evidence that Baal hears the cries of his deluded followers. There is no voice, no reply to their frantic prayers. The sacrifice remains unconsumed.PK 149.3
“As they continue their frenzied devotions, the crafty priests are continually trying to devise some means by which they may kindle a fire upon the altar and lead the people to believe that the fire has come direct from Baal. But Elijah watches every movement; and the priests, hoping against hope for some opportunity to deceive, continue to carry on their senseless ceremonies.PK 149.4
“Gladly would Satan have come to the help of those whom he had deceived, and who were devoted to his service. Gladly would he have sent the lightning to kindle their sacrifice. But Jehovah has set Satan’s bounds, restrained his power, and not all the enemy’s devices can convey one spark to Baal’s altar.PK 150.1″
Finally, the priests of Baal, “weary, faint and confused” cease their efforts. “All day long the people have witnessed the demonstrations of the baffled priests. They have beheld their wild leaping round the altar, as if they would grasp the burning rays of the sun to serve their purpose. They have looked with horror on the frightful, self-inflicted mutilations of the priests, and have had opportunity to reflect on the follies of idol worship. Many in the throng are weary of the exhibitions of demonism, and they now await with deepest interest the movements of Elijah.PK 150.4″
At the evening hour of sacrifice, Elijah repairs the broken-down altar that had been abandoned by apostate Israel to worship Baal. He sets up the sacrifice and orders four barrels be filled with water. Three times, they filled four barrels: one for each of the twelve tribes of Israel. This precious water during a three-year drought was poured over the sacrifice and wood and drenched the altar. Then he filled the trench, which surrounded the altar, with more water. Elijah then simply knelt and offered a simple prayer.
“No sooner is the prayer of Elijah ended than flames of fire, like brilliant flashes of lightning, descend from heaven upon the upreared altar, consuming the sacrifice, licking up the water in the trench, and consuming even the stones of the altar. The brilliancy of the blaze illumines the mountain and dazzles the eyes of the multitude. In the valleys below, where many are watching in anxious suspense the movements of those above, the descent of fire is clearly seen, and all are amazed at the sight. It resembles the pillar of fire which at the Red Sea separated the children of Israel from the Egyptian host.PK 152.4″
“The people on the mount prostrate themselves in awe before the unseen God. They dare not continue to look upon the Heaven-sent fire. They fear that they themselves will be consumed; and, convicted of their duty to acknowledge the God of Elijah as the God of their fathers, to whom they owe allegiance, they cry out together as with one voice, ‘The Lord, He is the God; the Lord, He is the God.’ With startling distinctness the cry resounds over the mountain and echoes in the plain below. At last Israel is aroused, undeceived, penitent. At last the people see how greatly they have dishonored God. The character of Baal worship, in contrast with the reasonable service required by the true God, stands fully revealed. The people recognize God’s justice and mercy in withholding the dew and the rain until they have been brought to confess His name. They are ready now to admit that the God of Elijah is above every idol.PK 153.1
“The priests of Baal witness with consternation the wonderful revelation of Jehovah’s power. Yet even in their discomfiture and in the presence of divine glory, they refuse to repent of their evil-doing. They would still remain the prophets of Baal. Thus they showed themselves ripe for destruction. That repentant Israel may be protected from the allurements of those who have taught them to worship Baal, Elijah is directed by the Lord to destroy these false teachers. The anger of the people has already been aroused against the leaders in transgression; and when Elijah gives the command, ‘Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape,’ they are ready to obey. They seize the priests, and take them to the brook Kishon, and there, before the close of the day that marked the beginning of decided reform, the ministers of Baal are slain. Not one is permitted to live.PK 153.2″

For Health’s Sake…
Enlarged prostate, prostate cancer, fibroids, endometriosis, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, and pretty much any reproductive organ condition can be helped from hydrotherapy. They are all caused by a buildup of toxins.
The wise use of water is a beautiful gift, says Pastor Flemons. It is a potent curative method. God, however, is the only one who heals.
One method of hydrotherapy is fever baths; another is contrast showers. Fever baths must never be done alone. Neither should they be done for the elderly, or those with severe anemia, or those who experience neuropathy that prevents them from feeling temperatures. Contrast showers can easily be done alone.
The goal of fever baths is to raise the body’s temperature to 102 degrees. The water temperature needs to be as hot as possible: at least 105 but no higher than 110 degrees. Most people cannot tolerate hotter water.
Ice wrapped in a towel like a Tootsie Roll should be kept around the neck. A cold damp cloth must be kept on the head. Rotate with a freshly dipped cloth into icy cold water every 3 to 5 minutes and place on the head. This prevents headaches. This also prevents fainting. However, douse with cold icy water if one faints. Fever baths should end with a cold shower just to cool off the body and close the pores. Fifteen to 30 seconds should be sufficient.
Contrast showers are done in at least three rotations up to seven. One rotation consists of standing beneath water hot as possible for 3 minutes, followed by jet cold water for 30 seconds. Each rotation ends with cold water to close the pores. After at least three rotations, rest for one half hour.
Both the fever baths and contrast showers weaken cancer while they help strengthen the immune system. Chemotherapy kills cancer cells. But it also kills healthy cells.
We have been given this divine message of healing:
“The only hope of better things is in the education of the people in right principles. Let physicians teach the people that restorative power is not in drugs, but in nature. Disease is an effort of nature to free the system from conditions that result from a violation of the laws of health. In case of sickness, the cause should be ascertained. Unhealthful conditions should be changed, wrong habits corrected. Then nature is to be assisted in her effort to expel impurities and to re-establish right conditions in the system. MH 127.1″
