Worship: For Heaven’s Sake “It’s not about the money,” says Pastor Flemons. “It’s about the soul.” And Jesus was not a terrorist. Yes, He overthrew the tables of the money changers. But He did it in a way that the children still felt comfortable enough to come to Him, contends Pastor Flemons. (Read more below.)
Wellness: For Health’s Sake Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, said, “There are many ways to practice the healing arts. But there is only one way that heaven approves.” (Read more below.)

Words of Encouragement
Psalm 33:18-19 Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
Psalm 34:9 O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.
For Heaven’s Sake…
The temple of God is a sacred place. And Jesus only requires that we be reverent in His temple.
“When the Lord descended upon Mount Sinai, the place was consecrated by His presence. Moses was commanded to put bounds around the mount and sanctify it, and the word of the Lord was heard in warning: ‘Take heed to yourselves, that ye go not up into the mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely put to death: there shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live.’ Ex. 19:12, 13. Thus was taught the lesson that wherever God manifests His presence, the place is holy. The precincts of God’s temple should have been regarded as sacred. But in the strife for gain, all this was lost sight of. DA 155.4
“The priests and rulers were called to be the representatives of God to the nation; they should have corrected the abuses of the temple court. They should have given to the people an example of integrity and compassion. Instead of studying their own profit, they should have considered the situation and needs of the worshipers, and should have been ready to assist those who were not able to buy the required sacrifices. But this they did not do. Avarice had hardened their hearts. DA 156.1
So it is with many today. Church is a place to get all you can from people, rather than from God. It has become a place where we receive without giving. Any practice that places money and policy above worship and the needs of the people is contaminating the sacred precincts of God’s house with modern money changers. Taking tithe and offering and investing it in short or long term investments is a type of money changing condemned by Christ. His money and resources are holy, and church funds should not be invested in secular pursuits.
The noisy sanctuaries in our modern charismatic era resemble the banging and unholy movements of the contaminated temple that Jesus cleansed. The Bible says, “The Lord is in His holy temple, let all the earth keep silence before Him” (Habakkuk 2:20).
Finally, we must remember that our bodies are God’s temple. We are not to expose our bodies to contaminating influences and substances in order to save or gain money. If we do, we are like the money changers that used God’s holy house for financial gain.

For Health’s Sake. . .
Our goal should always be to be medication-free. There are simple ways to be healed that do not tax the body: the simple agencies of nature. These include trusting God, sunshine, fresh air, rest, and plant-based foods. It is much better for us to use these remedies than to be dependent upon toxic drugs that merely treat symptoms.
Satan has healing methods that involve spiritualism and complicates the person’s ability to be connected with God. Satan’s methods lead to mind control. Be warned. Acupuncture, acupressure, reiki, iridology, and other energy medicines and diagnostic techniques are spiritualistic and are modern forms of ancient witchcraft. These things are not of God.
“The apostles of nearly all forms of spiritism claim to have the power to cure the diseased. They attribute their power to electricity, magnetism, the so-called “sympathetic remedies,” or to latent forces within the mind of man. And there are not a few, even in this Christian age, who go to these healers, instead of trusting in the power of the living God and the skill of well-qualified Christian physicians. { Ev 606.2}
The mother, watching by the sickbed of her child, exclaims, “I can do no more! Is there no physician who has power to restore my child!” She is told of the wonderful cures performed by some clairvoyant or magnetic healer, and she trusts her dear one to his charge, placing it as verily in the hand of Satan as if he were standing by her side. In many instances the future life of the child is controlled by a satanic power, which it seems impossible to break.”—The Review and Herald, January 15, 1914. { Ev 606.3}
“…They are but channels for Satan’s electric currents. By this means he casts his spell over the bodies and souls of men.” —The Signs of the Times, March 24, 1887. { Ev 609.1}
