Worship: For Heaven’s Sake The gospel of Jesus Christ provides pardon for past sins and power to live a righteous, victorious life for Christ. However, the gospel has been counterfeited in a way, so that even the Christian community overwhelmingly embraces the deception. (Read more below.)
Wellness: For Health’s Sake Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that the way to be rescued from disease is by relying on God, eating healthy, getting sunshine, drinking clean water, staying under control, exercising, getting much needed rest, and enjoying fresh air. It spells RESCUE ME and is the health ministry of Rescue the Perishing Second Advent Church in Pacolet, SC, where he pastors. (Read more below.)

Words of Encouragement
2 Corinthians 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
For Heaven’s Sake…
The counterfeit is the story of Santa Claus. The story is told that a man called Santa Claus is coming to town and to everyone’s home. He judges in secret and then secretly rewards everyone according to their works. He supposedly knows everyone and whether they have been good or bad. The details in the fictitious story clearly parallels the story of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Bible says Jesus Christ does a work of judgment and then He rewards everyone according to their individual works. Read Revelation 22:15 . Those who do His Commandments are richly rewarded. The blessing of the gospel truth, however, is that this same Jesus gives the grace or power to obey to whoever is willing to receive it.
This gives people–anyone who really wants it–freedom from living with guilt. Everyone is given the same privilege of welcoming the glorious and global appearance of Jesus. (Read Luke 17:24.) Acts 1:11 describes how Jesus left and promises He will return “in like manner.” Paul in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 tells more specifically what will happen at the return of Jesus. It is clear that there is no secret rapture. It is clearly unbiblical.
What is secret about Christ’s coming is the hour of His return. Jesus Himself said, “Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh” (Matthew 25:13). No man knows the day nor the hour of the coming of Jesus Christ. Therefore, watch and pray and be wise. It is wise to get ready and stay ready. Then you will be ready when Jesus comes, and you can meet Him in peace.
For Health’s Sake…
R – When we truly rely on God, we will have a healthy digestion system. When we don’t rely on God, we are stressed and digestion is interrupted, the immune system is weakened, and. When we trust God, it promotes a healthy immune system, and balances hormones. (Read Proverbs 3:5, 8.)
E – When we eat healthy, we will eat a total vegetarian diet, have a strong immune system, and ingest no cholesterol. The plant-based diet of nuts, grains, fruits and vegetables provides all the nutrients the body really needs to be healthy. (Read Genesis 1:29. Watch “What the Health” and “Forks Over Knives.”)
S – When we get the sunshine we need, we lower cholesterol, because cholesterol in the skin gets converted to the vitamin D the body needs to increase immune function, balance hormones, and aids in calcium absorption. It helps prevent arthritis.
C – When we drink clean water, we help our body in every way. Our bodies are about 80 percent water. Water then, helps all of our organs of elimination release toxins from the body, which increases immune function. We should drink half of our body’s weight in ounces every day. When our urine is clear, then we can be sure we are drinking enough water.
U – When we remain under control, we practice temperance. We abstain from all harmful things, including wine. Drinking wine is only recommended in the Bible when it is referring to fresh grape juice or the juice of grapes in the cluster, which is an alkaline substance. When it has fermented, it is harmful. When we remain under control, we will also do only in moderation those things that are good. A little honey is good, but much honey will make you vomit. Self-control promotes rest, lowers stress, and relaxes overtaxed organs. (Read Isaiah 65:8; Proverbs 23:29-35; Proverbs 25:16, 27; and 1 Timothy 5:23.)
E – When we exercise, the body is strengthened, especially the heart and the immune system. Good blood and proper circulation is enhanced, and blood sugar is lowered. (Read Leviticus 17:11 and Proverbs 14:30.)
M – When we get much rest, the body is relieved of stress and the immune system is recharged. It is best to get to bed by 9:30 p.m.
E – When we enjoy fresh air, the cells of the body are oxygenated and energized or charged by the negative ions in fresh air. Brain function is increased and infections are decreased.
