Worship: Did Jesus Come in the Flesh? / Wellness: Is Soy Bad for You?

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Too many believe that Jesus was divine at birth without the possibility to be tempted to sin like every human being. Even worse, others believe that He was born fully divine because of the Holy Spirit and an immaculate human in Mary. Nevertheless, it was because of Mary’s weak humanity and the perfect divinity of the Holy Spirit that Jesus was born fully human and fully divine. (Read more below.)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that if soy isn’t labeled organic and nonGMO, don’t eat it. It is probably the most genetically modified bean available. Also, because of its natural estrogen content, minimize soy use or avoid it if you have any estrogen dominant illness, like breast cancer, uterine fibroids, even PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), and prostate issues. Otherwise, soy, of all the legumes, has probably the best texture as a substitute for meat, when it is properly processed. Soy is a great source of protein.

Words of Encouragement

Romans 12:1  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Psalm 28:7  The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

For Heaven’s Sake…

Here’s what the Bible says:

Hebrews 4:15  For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Hebrews 2:14-18  Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

1 John 4:3  And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

2 John 7  For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

1 Timothy 3:16  And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Therefore, Jesus, as a human being, has earned the right to appeal to us in this way:

John 15:10  If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

John agrees:

1 John 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Indeed, Jesus is our Perfect Example in all things. In sinful human flesh, He lived a sinless life, that through the power of the same Holy Spirit, we humans might do the same. Clearly, it is a serious offense to God to say that Jesus Christ did not come in human flesh. That whole idea is a sinister trick of Satan to keep humans from believing all that Christ has done for us and can do in us and through us. Need we say more? No.
