Worship: For Heaven’s Sake We will never fully know in this life what it means to be one with God, says Pastor Flemons, and that is why Paul calls it a great mystery in 1 Timothy 3:16. (Read more below.)
Wellness: For Health’s Sake You are the apple of God’s eye. (Read Zechariah 2:8.) Just as an enemy hurts the child to vex the parent, so Satan knows that when the body is sick, he is hurting God. God desires “above all things” that we “prosper and be in health.” (Read 3 John 1:2.) Pastor Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that Satan knew from the beginning that if he could get Adam and Eve “to eat from the wrong menu” they would be sick. He is still doing that today. Did you know that the cow’s milk and white sugar combination in ice cream turns to alcohol? When the human body is sick, thinking is cloudy, like that of an alcoholic. When thinking is cloudy, communion with God is compromised and sin is the eventual result. In turn, sin desecrates the body and leads to death. Satan wants to keep us all drunk to block communion with God and to block our eternal salvation.

Words of Encouragement
Psalm 101:6, 7 Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me. He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.
1 Corinthians 13:3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
For Heaven’s Sake…
In 1 Timothy 3:16, we learn that “without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself (2 Corinthians 5:19) that we “might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust” (2 Peter 1:4).
The ultimate oneness with God is that God was manifested by Christ in the flesh. Through Christ’s prayer in John 17, we have some clues of what oneness with God for each of us means, says Pastor Flemons. We are to be one with one another and one with God. We are one with each other as we have compassion on them and empathize with them in their sufferings, as well as join in their rejoicing, especially in their victories over sin. Witnessing for God so that others follow Christ testifies that we are one with God. Witnessing for God involves character development: being like Christ. That which does not promote character development, he says, taints the character with the filth of this world through touch, taste, sound, sight, or language.
“In eternity we shall learn that which, had we received the enlightenment it was possible to obtain here, would have opened our understanding. The themes of redemption will employ the hearts and minds and tongues of the redeemed through the everlasting ages. They will understand the truths which Christ longed to open to His disciples, but which they did not have faith to grasp. Forever and forever new views of the perfection and glory of Christ will appear.” COL 134
After reciting and singing a verse of the hymn, “Oh, Let Me Walk With Thee, My God,”Pastor Flemons made an appeal: “Let’s walk with God, today.”
