Worship: For Heaven’s Sake “The high priest had two sets of garments. One was of plain white linen. The other was with ornamentation: “‘a bell and a pomegranate’ and with the breastplate that ‘glittered like diamonds.'” (Read more below.)
Wellness: For Health’s Sake Pastor Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, shared disturbing statistics revealing the dangers of simply breathing in cities. Air pollution is now in “the fourth position when it comes to the top causes of death around the world, following killers like high blood pressure, diet and smoking. More than six million people died last year of causes linked to air pollution, such as heart attack, stroke, chronic lung disease and lung cancer. Not surprisingly, people from countries like India and China made up more than half of these deaths. . . . Pollution is slowly killing humanity,” the health.news article reports. Interestingly, and probably not coincidentally, the murderer Cain built the first city, according to Genesis 4:17, and named it Enoch (not the same Enoch that walked with God in Genesis 5:21-24).

Words of Encouragement
James 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. (Also read DA 668.2, John 3:36; John 14:15; 1 John 2:1-5.)
For Heaven’s Sake…
“The high priest wore these plain garments only on the day of atonement, when he went into the most holy place to minister for his own sins as well as for those of the people. Then he appeared in the humble character of a suppliant. As he approached the very presence of God, symbolized in the Shekinah, he did so in pure white linen attire . . . emblematic of the perfect purity sought by the expiations of that day.”
Jesus, who had no sins to atone for, went in to the most holy place “to make atonement for the sins of the people only. Therefore, in this, the antitypical day of atonement, Jesus is represented as clothed ‘with precious garments,’ those with ‘a bell and a pomegranate,’ and with the breastplate that glittered like diamonds.’ EW 251
