Worship: For Heaven’s Sake The candlestick in the holy place of the sanctuary was made of one solid piece of pure gold. It was the “most costly” and “most elaborate of the sacred vessels.” It represents Christ’s church (us) whom Jesus is purifying and refining to perfection. That will be when the image of Jesus is perfectly reflected in our lives and our lives shine for Him. The immense cost of the gold used represents the tremendous value Jesus places on the lives of those who live for Him with”true soul service.” Just as gold cannot be pure until it is purged of its dross, so must we. Says Pastor Flemons, “We can’t be an offering, unless we are purged.”

Wellness: For Health’s Sake Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that the remedy for tired feet is simple: cold water. If you can tolerate it, add ice and soak your feet for about 15 minutes in a tub of ice-cold water. “It is a great remedy,” he says, as he cautions the elderly to simply use cool water. This is also an excellent remedy, he says, for those with plantar faciitis.

Pray also for those undergoing surgery today and all grieving families (especially spouses). Pray for those fighting for their lives and against depression. Also pray for people living in areas of extreme heat and in those areas at risk of being destroyed by hurricanes and tornadoes and other natural disasters.
