Worship: For Heaven’s Sake Any sin will keep you out of the kingdom, says Pastor Flemons. It is an all-sin or no-sin situation with God. Still, there are degrees of sinning. And some sins–not all–are called abominations. In fact, there are seven sins that God really hates, according to Proverbs 6:16 – 19:
“These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.”
Notice that it is a proud look that tops the list of abominations to God–not homosexuality that many would guess tops the list. That is likely because Leviticus 18:22 says, “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.” But it is pride that caused the original sin and is at the root of so many issues in the world now. It is pride that goes before a fall. (Read Proverbs 16:18.) The lying tongue, which many people don’t even regard as a bad thing, is very common in politics and in business.
Wicked imaginings may include your dreams, says Pastor Flemons, as he referred to King Solomon, who was held accountable for a dream he had. (Read 1 Kings 3:5-9.) Feet that are swift in running to mischief refers to those who busybody in other people’s matters, says Pastor Flemons. The false witness who speaks lies is one who gives credibility to an already incredible story to destroy someone’s character, he says. Amazingly, those who sow discord among brethren also complete the list of seven abominations that you likely would never think of.
When people sit in judgement of others, they are usually committing at least one of the abominable sins in this list, while they are condemning and ostracizing others whose sin did not even make the list. Pastor Flemons says that it would be far better if we all would focus on being saved and on helping others be saved, than to look for reasons to condemn.
Wellness: For Health’s Sake Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, challenges you to help save your own life: Drink water! “We are a dehydrated country!” he says. And we are dying of thirst. Therefore, your body is crying out for you to drink half your body’s weight in ounces. If you weigh 200 pounds, drink 100 ounces of water per day. If you are 100 pounds, then your daily water intake should be 50 ounces. Water sweetened with honey does not count toward this daily requirement. However, unsweetened herbal teas and herbal teas sweetened with Agave or Stevia do indeed count. But remember to drink your water and all liquids between your meals, not with them.

Sharing and Caring Time Sis. Maria encouraged listeners with a passage from the book Power of Prayer, a collection of quotes on prayer by Ellen G. White, Chapter 7, “The Science of Prayer,” p 22 and 23.
Pastor Flemons recommends reading the Ellen G. White passage that supports his statement that Christians should not vote to put people in office. Please read Chapter 61 in Fundamentals to Christian Education, “Special Testimony Relating to Politics.” He emphasized FE 475.2.
