Faith Defined – Epsom Salt Detox Bath

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake There are two primary components of faith both spoken of and illustrated in scripture.

According to Hebrews 11:6, “Without faith it is impossible to please him, for He that cometh to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

The first step of faith is believing that God is able to help. That is what is meant by believing that “He is.” How do we come to that conclusion? In Exodus 3:14, God told Moses to introduce Him as “I AM!” Notice that “He is” is the third person of “I am.” Both are incomplete phrases by our human grammatical standards. The apparent reason for the imcomplete phrases is that anything you add to “I am” is limiting. I am Shelem Flemons. That means that I cannot be anyone else but Shelem Flemons. I am limited to that identity if that is who I am. Because the only limits on God are that He cannot lie or fail, He is limitless as far as rendering any help that we may need. Therefore, God taught step one of faith by letting us know that He has unlimited power.

In step two of faith, we are told that we must believe that God is a rewarder of them that diligently seek God. This means that God is very willing to help us. This shows us how much He loves and cares for us. Thus if we have faith, we will believe that God is both able and willing to help us.

The story of Jacob illustrates these points of faith better than any other in scripture. In Genesis 28, Jacob saw God on top of a ladder stretching from heaven to earth with angels ascending and descending its rungs. This showed God as a supreme administrator superintending an entire universe. From that Jacob concluded that God is able to protect him as he was running from his brother.

Then in Genesis 32, Jacob wrestled with Jesus all night. That means that Jesus symbolically walked down that ladder and when he came near Jacob, he embraced him. Jacob, of course, thought him to be an enemy. This showed the love and compassion of God.

Having both of these experiences to round off his faith, Jacob was prepared to meet his bother Esau. We must also believe that God is able and very willing to give us the desires of our heart.

Worship: For Health’s Sake Sister Maria, the wife of Pastor Flemons, gave instructions on the Epsom salts detox bath. It is made with 1/4 cup of epsom salts in a bath of warm water. Soak for no more than 3o minutes so toxins are not reabsorbed. It was discussed that using more epsom salts is permissible but 1/4 cup is therapeutic.

We are also relisting the general juice recipe for our 10 day cleanse. This is day 3.

TORSOE LEAN GREEN JUICE

Sharing and Caring Time  Sis. Maria gave us steps 3 – 6 of “The Cleansing Prayer.”

  1. “Ask God to reveal anything that has separated you from Him. This may include wrong behavior, negative thoughts, sinful feelings, wrong desires, criticism, resentment, and bitterness or painful memories” These painful memories can date back to our childhood.
  2. Ask our heavenly father to reveal any sin; hurtful memories; negative, sinful behavior; thoughts; feelings; or motives that you may be harboring in your heart. Wait quietly before him allowing him to speak to your heart.
  3. Once he has revealed your sin or painful emotions, confess these by claiming his blood to cover the sin and heal your painful emotions.
  4. Ask Jesus to cleanse your memories of the sin or painful emotions.
  5. Ask Jesus to cleanse you to the third and fourth generation where the tendency to this sin may have been passed on through your lineage.
  6. Ask Jesus to cleanse you from sin and remove the painful emotions from your amygdala.

Additional quotes on the power of prayer were also shared:

The Use of Remedial Agencies

The desire of God for every human being is expressed in the words, ‘Beloved I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.’ 3 John 2. He it is who ‘forgiveth all thine iniquities; who health all thy diseases; who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowned the the with loving kindness and tender mercies.” Psalms 103:3,4 (The Ministry of Healing page 113)

Those who seek healing by prayer should not neglect to make use of the remedial agencies within their reach. It is not a denial of faith to use such remedies as God has provided to alleviate pain and to aid nature in her work of restoration. It is no denial of faith to co-operate with God, and to place themselves in the condition most favorable to recovery. God has put it in our power to obtain a knowledge of the laws of life. This knowledge has been placed within our reach for use. We should employ every facility for the restoration of health, taking every advantage possible, working in harmony with natural laws.
