The rainbow of promise by pastor Shelem Flemons
The rainbow, first seen after the flood, was a rainbow of promise. God Promised never to destroy the earth with a flood. There’s a rainbow that surrounds the throne of God. It too is a rainbow of promise.
Nahum 1:9 tell us, “What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time. ” Therefore, surrounding the throne of God is a promise that iniquity shall never rise again. All that sin has wrought will be over as far as its effects upon the saved. The only marks of sin will be the marks in the hands and feet of Jesus.
Rev. 4:3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.

There are some wonderful advances in modern medicine. Undeniably, there are some wonderful features of modern medicine that are much needed today.
However there are some aspects of modern medicine that should not be practiced. The primary treatment modality of modern medicine is the use of chronic drugs to treat lifestyle diseases. Lifestyle diseases are the main diseases that lead to premature death in the United States. These include cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.
Treating these diseases with drugs without the healing lifestyle changes is like getting rid of mosquitos that are breeding in catfish ponds by poisoning them. It would be much better to get rid of the catfish ponds. Then, you would be eliminating the environment they thrive in. The same is true for the human body. If we clean up our lifestyle, disease will not be able to thrive because it needs a toxic environment in order to thrive.

How do you if you are on track with having a reformed christian life? Are you cleansing asking the Lord to reveal and expose your true heart condition? Are you preparing to receive His Perfect Image? Are you surrendering everything to Him and yielding your will to His Will? Early this morning, the Lord impressed me to share Ephesians 4:25-32. Read below and ask yourself do you have the quality of the reformed life that every christian should have?
Ephesians 4:25 “Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. 26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: 27 Neither give place to the devil. 28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. 29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. 30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”
