For Heaven’s Sake…

War in heaven (Rev 12:7) began with Lucifer (now Satan, the dragon). He was in heaven and yet was unsatisfied with his singular position. That same spirit of discontentment is typical now  and global. He wanted to be like the Most High God.  But even more than that, He wanted to require obedience to himself and receive worship in place of GOD.

“For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I WILL BE LIKE THE MOST HIGH” (Isaiah 14:13,14).

As with any king, the KING OF KINGS (Rev 19:16) makes laws and requires obedience. As the GOD of gods (Psalm 136:2), HE requires worship. Wanting to be the king and God, even above HIM, Satan has tampered with GOD’s Commandments, particularly the one that is a sign of GOD’s creative powers. The Catholic Church instituted a new day of worship. The first day of the week (Sunday), they say, replaces the seventh day or Saturday (technically sunset Friday to sunset Saturday) as the Sabbath.

But GOD set the seventh day or Sabbath as a sacred sign. Ezekiel 20:12 states, “Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them.” Instead of changing His Law, GOD changes and sanctifies the heart of man to harmonize with His Law. GOD, who sanctifies, has the creative power to create (not evolve) in man a clean heart and renew a right spirit within him (Psalm 51:10) and to constrain him in doing what is right (2 Cor 5:14).

For Health’s Sake…

The original diet or GOD’s life-activating diet (GLAD) preserved life in man for nearly 1,000 years even after man sinned. The standard American diet (SAD) does not preserve life even 100 years. GOD’s diet allowed nuts, grains, fruits, and vegetables (Genesis 1:29; 3:18). The standard American diet allows those, but also requires flesh foods of all kinds and their byproducts.

Ten generations before the flood, and before God permitted the consumption of flesh, man lived an average of 912 years. The ten generations afterward, man’s average lifespan dropped to 317 years. Flesh as food was permitted with certain restrictions. Clean animals could be consumed; unclean animals were forbidden as food. Neither the fat nor the blood was permitted for consumption in any case (Leviticus 3:17; 7:24).

For those who believe this was a directive of Moses, it is important to know that this directive existed ten generations before Abraham and at least 15 generations before the writings of Moses. Clean and unclean animals are listed in Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14.
