Worship: For Heaven’s Sake Pastor Flemons used John 10:1,7,9; Jeremiah 31:3; 1 John 4:19; Hosea 11:4; 2 Corinthians 5:14; and Romans 5:5 to show that Jesus Christ is represented by the only door to the sanctuary, which ultimately leads to the throne of God in the Most Holy Place. Jesus draws us with cords of love and lovingkindness, and with that love constrains us and sheds it abroad in our hearts that we might obey Him out of a heart of love.
Wellness: For Health’s Sake Pastor Flemons provided an compelling comparison between the number of deaths resulting from WWI and WWII combined (77 million over approx. 10 years total) and the number of deaths caused by cancer (82 million) and heart attacks/strokes (140 million) over a 10-year period. Astoundingly, weapons of mass destruction are our meals. The point was poignantly made with the account of Hitler’s invasion into Norway, where the pigs, chickens and cows were taken from the residents and given to the soldiers, which forced the people to eat only fruits, nuts and grains. During that time, deaths rapidly declined for the people. Sadly the deaths rapidly increased once they were able to return to the diet of flesh and dairy.
QT/QT: A question about the cause and remedy for nail fungus led to a brief discussion about candida, as well as the test and remedy for it.
