Worship: For Heaven’s Sake The focus of today’s broadcast was on James 1:22-25; 1 John 3:4; and Romans 4:15, which inform us that God’s law, like a mirror, simply shows us what is wrong or what is sin, that we have broken God’s law and have sinned. Although lawkeeping does not save us, there is a blessing for the one who obeys the law. Pastor Flemons assured listeners that it is because of God’s love for us that this plan of salvation is in place for us. We, however, must acknowledge our sins and confess them. To live a new life in Christ, we must be justified through Christ, which includes forgiveness, cleansing and empowerment.
Wellness: For Health’s Sake Expounding on a passage (p. 127.1) from the Ministry of Healing, by Ellen G. White, Pastor Flemons said that just as sin kills us spiritually, toxins kill us physically. Just as God’s law is an effort to free us from sin, His health message is an effort to free us from disease, which is an unhealthful condition that results as a violation of God’s health laws. Through cleansing, the body is assisted in its effort to expel impurities and reestablish right conditions, or balance, in the system.
QT/QT A brief quiz time generated listener participation and testimonials.
