If I Was A Roman Catholic, I Would Read The Spirit Of Prophecy by pastor Shelem Flemons

As we now see the Pope in His LaDauto Si Encyclical enouraging the world to join the push for climate change as an act of loyalty to God, those with eyes to see can clearly discern the nearness of Sunday laws as a way to appease an angry God who has unleashed the Lion of nature to punish the world for desecrating Sunday. Ellen White wrote the following long before this pope was born:

David prayed, “It is time for Thee, Lord, to work: for they have made void Thy law.” This prayer is no less pertinent at the present time. The world has gone astray from God, and its lawless state should strike terror to the heart, and lead all who are loyal to the great King to work for a reformation. The papal power has thought to change the law of God by substituting a spurious Sabbath for that of Jehovah; and all through the religious world the false sabbath is revered, while the true one is trampled beneath unholy feet….

It is on the law of God that the last great struggle of the controversy between Christ and His angels and Satan and his angels will come, and it will be decisive for all the world…. Men in responsible positions will not only ignore and despise the Sabbath themselves, but from the sacred desk will urge upon the people the observance of the first day of the week, pleading tradition and custom in behalf of this man-made institution. They will point to calamities on land and sea—to the storms of wind, the floods, the earthquakes, the destruction by fire—as judgments indicating God’s displeasure because Sunday is not sacredly observed. These calamities will increase more and more, one disaster will follow close upon the heels of another; and those who make void the law of God will point to the few who are keeping the Sabbath of the fourth commandment as the ones who are bringing wrath upon the world. This falsehood is Satan’s device that he may ensnare the unwary.—The Southern Watchman, June 28, 1904. . ChS 155.1-ChS 155.2

How To Rely On God For Healing – by Pastor Shelem Flemons

  1. Study the Bible daily for at least a half hour.  Continually increase your Bible study time.
  2. It is best to study the scriptures as soon as you awaken in the morning. Also, it is good to meditate upon the scriptures before going to bed.
  3. As you study, ask the Holy Spirit to guide you into all truth.
  4. Have devotion with your family morning and evening.  Family devotion may consist of songs, prayer, Bible or inspired reading and discussion.
  5. When you find a Bible promise, believe it as though it has already happened.
  6. Promises of healing should be committed to memory.  Some of these healing promises are found below.

Exodus 15:26

2 Chronicles 7:14

Jeremiah 30:17

Jeremiah 17:14

Psalm 103:1-3

3 John 2

Isaiah 57:18-19

James 5:14-15

The healing miracles of Jesus should also be studied.  The following table gives the main texts for the healing miracles of Christ.  Study each one carefully and draw principles from Christ’s example.

John 4:43-54 The nobleman’s son Mark 1:29-31 Peter’s mother-in-law

John 5:1-15 The invalid at Bethesda Mark 1:40-45 First healing of leprosy

Mark 2:1-12 Paralytic lowered through the roof Mark 3:1-6 Man lowered through the roof

Luke 7:1-10 Man with a withered hand Luke 7:1-10 The centurion’s servant

Matt. 9:27-31 Two blind men Matt. 9:32-34 A dumb demoniac

Matt. 12:22-32 Blind and dumb demoniac Mark 5:25-31 Woman with an issue of blood

Mark 7:31-37 Deaf-mute of Decapolis Mark 8:22-26 Blind man near Bethsaida

John 9:1-41 Man born blind Luke 13:10-17 Crippled woman

Luke 14:1-4 Man with dropsy Luke 17:11-19 Ten lepers

Mark 10:46-52 Blind Bartimaeus Luke 22:50-51 Malchus’ ear

God’s promises, described in the Bible as “exceeding great and precious,” are the means by which we place our trust in Him. “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust,” 2 Peter 1:4. When I believe God’s promises, I first of all “Believe that He is,” that is to say that I believe that God exists and therefore is able to heal me.  I must also believe that “He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him,” Hebrews 11:6.  This means that I believe not only that God is able, but that He is thrilled with the thought of healing me if my recovery will bring glory to His name.  He loves to reward the diligent seeker.

What does diligent seeking mean? “Faith without works is dead,” James 2:26.  We are to cooperate with God in the work of health restoration.  We are to be obedient to the health principles in the Bible in order to have true faith.  A faith that does not incorporate works, “obedience,” is dead faith, and God cannot use this faith to heal the body, mind or soul. We are to accept His promises as though the gift has already arrived.  The power is in the promise!  “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God,” 2 Corinthians 7:1. Jesus told the two blind men these words, “According to your faith, be it unto you,” Matthew 9:29.

Ch. 36- When and How Will God Answer Prayer? Scripture Text: Matt 7:7,8

“In some instances of healing, Jesus did not at once grant the blessing sought. But in the case of leprosy no sooner was the appeal made than it was granted. When we pray for earthly blessings, the answer to our prayer may be delayed, or God may give us something other than we ask; but not so when we ask for deliverance from sin. It is His will to cleanse us from sin, to make us His children, and to enable us to live a holy life.” The Ministry of Healing, p 70

“There are precious promises in the Scriptures to those who wait upon the Lord. We all desire an immediate answer to our prayers and are tempted to become discouraged if our prayer is not immediately answered. Now, my experience has taught me that this is a great mistake. The delay is for our special benefit. We have a chance to see whether our faith is true and sincere or changeable like the waves of the sea. We must bind ourselves upon the altar with the strong cords of faith and love, and let patience have her perfect work.” Counsels on Health, p 380, 381

“God does not always answer our prayers the first time we call upon Him; for should He do this, we might take it for granted that we had a right to all the blessings and favors He bestowed upon us. Instead of searching our hearts to see if any evil was entertained by us, any sin indulged, we should become careless, and fail to realize our dependence upon Him, and our need of His help.” SDA Bible Commentary, Vol. 2, p 1035

“Throughout his married life, Zacharias had prayed for a son. He and his wife were now old, and as yet their prayer had remained unanswered; but he murmured not. God had not forgotten. He had his appointed time for answering this prayer, and when the case seemed hopeless, Zacharias received his answer…. God had not forgotten the prayer of His servants. He had written it in His record book, to be answered in His own good time.” SDA Bible Commentary, Vol. 5, p 1114
