Worship: A Walk Through Religious Liberty History / Wellness: Menopause

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Religious liberty began in Heaven. The angels are free to worship GOD or not. Since before the beginning of time on Earth, religious liberty has been the real issue in the great controversy between God and Satan. “We must understand the issues in the controversy,” says Pastor Flemons. He insists, Scripture helps us identify the issues or we won’t understand what’s going on. (Read more below.)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Stress aggravates menopausal symptoms. Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness and naturopathy, explained menopause in detail and provided help for getting through it. He was stimulated to focus on this subject by a Good Health magazine article written by Dr. Eckhard Liske, PhD: “Keep Your Cool During Menopause.” He highlighted a couple of points from it. For Heaven’s Sake…

Traditions that are anti-Bible must be put away. Regardless of how otherwise good the tradition may sound or be, it must not trump Scripture. The Bible must be supreme in order to truly honor GOD. When traditions are allowed to trump the Bible, religious liberty is eventually trampled.  We must be careful to look for and guard against anything that challenges our religious freedoms. Pastor Flemons paraphrased Benjamin Franklin by saying, “If we give up liberty to gain security, we will have neither.”

Pastor Flemons says if we reflect on the front end (regarding putting away sin), we won’t have to look at what we’ve done on the back end. If we don’t reflect now–if we don’t say ”What am I doing?”– there will come a time we will say, “Oh no! What have I done?”

Our prayer must be that of David in Psalm 139. Verses 21 through 24 are highlighted below:

21 Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
22 I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
For Health’s Sake…
Estrogen has two sources in the body: the ovaries and the adrenal glands. When your body is overly stressed, over time your adrenal glands, which are your stress organs, become “wasted” usually by age 50 or 60, says Dr. Flemons. “They are tired.” And the estrogen reserve for maintenance purposes is spent.
In countries where stress is very low for women, they tend not to have menopausal symptoms at all. The typical symptom of hot flashes, which is usually the most difficult to deal with, happens when the hypothalamus (which controls body temperature) is overstimulated into signaling the ovaries (via the pituitary) that estrogen is needed. The body’s temperature is raised in response to the request. “The issue is stress,” Dr. Flemons insist.
Because estrogen locks calcium in the bones, the lack of it can cause osteoarthritis and osteoporosis, conditions that too commonly plagues women. Calcium deposits that get logged between joints cause inflammation and swelling and pain, as we learned also in our August 16 broadcast. Calcium also leeches out of the bone because of caffeinated beverage consumption. The feeling of energy one gets from drinking so-called energy drinks, which we learned (August 21) are high in caffeine, really is adrenaline being stolen from your energy reserves. The energy drinks irritate the adrenal glands, which then pumps out adrenaline, says Dr. Flemons. When estrogen is depleted in the system, carrot juice, soy and black cohosh can be good sources of natural estrogen (phytoestrogen).
Times of Refreshing has an menopausal formula, which contains black cohosh, currently can be ordered by phone only: (855) 867-4600.
