Worship: What Is Judging? / Wellness: Make Citrus Your Chemo

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  “Judge not that ye be not judged.” These were the words of Jesus, according to Matthew 7:1. Pastor Flemons asked and answered this question: “Why does the Bible say ‘thou that judgest doest the same things’?” (Read more below.)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  “Natural lemon extract is cytotoxic to breast cancer cells.” This is the title of an article on the website of NaturalNews.com, from 2012, that Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, shared with listeners. (Read more below.)

Words of Encouragement

Matthew 5:8  Blessed are the pure in heart; for they shall see God.

Isaiah 58:13-14   If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

For Heaven’s Sake…

“You can’t judge me!” These are the words you will often hear after an attempt to correct someone.

Actually, this statement is both true and false. There are two kinds of judging that the Bible mentions. One judging happens after the second coming of Christ, where the saved will reign with Christ. The Apostle Paul mentions this judging in 1 Corinthians 6:2: “Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?”

Then there’s the kind of judging where someone is judging the motives of someone else, says Pastor Flemons. This is the judging being described in Matthew 7:1-2 and Romans 2:1. Only God can read the heart. One may observe another’s actions, but not the motives. When you are quick to attribute a motive to an action, your judgment is usually based on what your own motive would be. “Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things” (Romans 2:1).

Simply put, Jesus said, “Judge not according to the appearance” (John 7:24).

On the other hand, be willing to accept correction and instruction.

Proverbs 8:33  Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.

2 Timothy 3:16  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

For Health’s Sake…

The article opens quite emphatically. “A new study has shown for the first time how limonoids, natural compounds present in lemons and other citrus fruit, impede both ER+ and ER- breast cancer cell growth.”

The article described the study this way:

“For this study, 14 kilograms of dried lemon seeds were powdered and defatted. Nine different limonoids were extracted from the seeds. Seven showed significant cytotoxicity against ER+ breast cancer cells, while four showed cytotoxicity against ER- cells (decreasing growth/viability by as much as 44 percent). Each limonoid was also tested for its ability to induce programmed cell death of the cancer cells (via caspase-7 activation), and one of the most potent was found to be limonin glucoside – which is by far the most abundant limonoid in citrus juices.”

The article described these findings:

“While the limonoids in the latest study above were taken from lemon seeds, they are also found in the peel, pulp and juice of all citrus fruits. Citrus juices contain approximately 90 to 300 mg per liter of limonoid glucosides (orange juice: 300 mg/l, grapefruit juice: 200 mg/l, lemon or lime juice: 90 mg/l). Citrus pulp and peel contain up to 500mg/kg of limonoids…”

A medical missionary, who assisted in the most recent two wellness retreats hosted by Times of Refreshing Wellness Ministry shared this recipe, which is said to be better than chemotherapy for breast, lung and liver cancers:

Use a good produce wash, like GSE (grapefruit seed extract), and wash the skin of lemons. Freeze the whole lemon. While still frozen, grate 1 tablespoon of the lemon peel, and add it to any liquids, hot teas, or even on salads. Roseliz Chiari, says that you can consume as much as you want with no limitation this way for wonderful benefits.

The article suggests a minimum amount of citrus, however:

“Taken together, these recent studies suggest that women wanting to reduce breast cancer risk should consume at least 75 grams daily of citrus fruit or juice as part of a well-balanced, healthy lifestyle, and that further benefit may be obtained by concentrating on limonoid-rich orange and grapefruit as whole fruit, or pulp-rich juices.”

Pastor Flemons says that while citrus peelings can be used both to prevent and kill cancer cells, chemotherapy can only be used to kill cancer cells. The problem with chemotherapy is that it also kills healthy cells. That can’t be a good thing.
