Worship: The Heavenly Sanctuary Anointed / Wellness: 5 Habits for Longevity

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Jesus is the real or “antitypical” Sacrifice represented by the lamb, “a male of the first year” and the “ram of consecration.” Respectively, the lamb and ram pointed to the beginning and then the close of Christ’s ministry on earth: the court of the sanctuary. The service in the holy places of the heavenly sanctuary could begin only after Jesus was “offered on Calvary,” ascended to the heavenly sanctuary and was anointed High Priest, and “‘the most Holy,’ the heavenly sanctuary, had been anointed.” “This was the last prophetic event before the close of the 70 weeks” prophesied in Daniel 9:24. Had this been understood by the Millerites in 1844, they would not have experienced the Great Disappointment.

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, presented a health.news article that provides five simple lifestyle habits for adding ten years or longer to your life and also likely a better quality of life. Analysis of nearly 89,000 women over a period of 34 years and nearly 45,000 men over a period of 23 years have led researchers to yield to these conclusions. “Participants who practiced a low-risk lifestyle appeared to live 10 years longer on average than those who did not.  . . . The study also proved that people who maintain healthy lifestyle habits are 74 percent less likely to die during the period of the study. Moreover, adopting these five healthy habits decreases the possible development of cardiovascular disease for both men and women. Dying from cancer is also less likely to happen.” What are the five healthy habits? The article states “not smoking, eating a healthy diet, getting enough physical activity daily, maintaining a low body mass index, and drinking alcohol in moderation. Pastor Flemons and TOR would amend the healthy habits to say that a healthy diet is a “whole food, total plant-based diet, with lots of fruits and vegetables.” Also, a low body mass index does not mean striving for the Barbie and Ken dolls image.  And rather than drink alcohol in moderation, we would advise you drink no alcohol at all, according to the biblical wellness standard, as explained in detail by Pastor Flemons.
