Worship: Salvation Before Calvary / Wellness: The Nature of Disease

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Since the council between God the Father and God the Son, Jesus has been the promised Sacrifice for sin, which demands a penalty of death. Jesus is that “Lamb slain from the foundation of the world” (Revelation 13:8). “‘Before the world began,’ salvation ‘was given us in Christ Jesus.’ 2 Timothy 1:9. Then it was that Christ offered His life to redeem man if the need should arise. The need arose in the garden of Eden” Adam and Eve sinned, and the world “fell under the dominion of Satan. From that time to the cross, fallen man had forgiveness and redemption through faith in the promised blood of Christ; since Calvary, he has forgiveness and redemption through faith in His shed blood.” (For further details, listen to the recording and sing with Pastor Flemons  “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands.” Also read Hebrews 9:22; Revelation 13:8; Zechariah 6:13; 1 Peter 1:18-20; Genesis 3:15.)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says the true nature of disease is not taught in any modern textbook. The Ministry of Healing, we can say is a prophetic textbook that reveals what disease really is. It says this. “Disease is an effort of nature to free the system from conditions that result from a violation of the laws of health.”  All disease is the result of toxins and impurities. “Disease is not the enemy,” says Pastor Flemons. It is an alarm clock: but not to treat toxins with more toxins in the nature of pharmaceuticals. Disease is an alarm clock to treat disease with nutrition and herbs and healthy lifestyle choices that strengthen and enable the immune system to do its job of eliminating toxins and reestablishing right conditions in the body.

Words of Encouragement

John 15:4, 5  Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Philippians 4:12, 13  I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. (Read also COL 82 and DA 490.5.)

Worship: The Council of Peace / Wellness: Early Breakfast and Diabetes

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Jesus and His Father met to lay the plans for the salvation of mankind before the world was founded. The meeting is referred to as the council of peace. “It was at that sacred council that Christ, the Lamb of God, offered himself as a ransom to redeem him [mankind]. Zech 6:13; GC 416, 417. But all will agree that Christ was not actually slain until the cross.” Still, the Bible refers to Jesus as “the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world” (Revelation 13:8). In the same way, the sanctuary (both on Earth and in Heaven) itself is the manifestation of that council of peace. And the heavenly sanctuary “could not actually function until after the death, resurrection and ascension of Christ when He was anointed High Priest. Pastor Flemons added that the sweet hour of prayer will be over once we arrive in Heaven. That’s why the song’s last stanza includes the phrase “Farewell, farewell, sweet hour of prayer.” Instead, it will be face to face with Christ, our Savior.

(For further details, listen to the recording and read Zechariah 6:13; Hebrews 9:8; Revelation 13:8; and the GC 416-417.)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, discussed the importance of eating an early breakfast, especially if one has diabetes. His presentation was inspired by a health.news article, which reports a newly found relation among “night owls,” obesity and diabetes. He added that an early breakfast is essential to a three-meal day, so that the final meal is finished early enough to have been digested before bedtime. Typically, the night owl eats late meals, which contributes to obesity. Obesity is identified as a body mass index (BMI) of at least 30, which is common to people with Type 2 diabetes. Eating two complete meals daily around 10am and 3pm is best, says Pastor Flemons.

Words of Encouragement

Psalm 37:1-3  Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

1 John 3:1-3 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. (Also read SC 15.)
