Worship: How to Study the Bible, Pt 3 / Wellness: Don’t Use the Bible to Justify Your Wrong Diet

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Be willing to study a topic out for yourself and learn how to both recognize and properly apply Bible study principles. According to Isaiah 28:10, divine knowledge and doctrine will be gained as study is done “precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little.” When the Bible presents such doubling of a phrase, the thing is established by God and it (in this case, understanding) will shortly come to pass. (See Genesis 41:32.) Degrees and years of study are not required. In the Bible, all principles will agree. There will be no discrepancies when fully understood. And there will be consistency of principle. (Please read Isaiah 28:9, 10; Genesis 41:32; Isaiah 29:13; Proverbs 9:10; Matthew 15:8, 9; Mark 5:2; Matthew 8:28. Please listen to the recording to hear more important details.)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says people are dead today, because of wrong biblical teachings, especially as it regards diet. Using 1 Timothy 4:1-5,  Acts 10; Genesis 1:29; and 7:2, he discussed that pork was never created by God to be received as food with thanksgiving. And meat as a dietary option was to be only temporary. It was not to be permanently on the menu. In other words, it doesn’t help to say blessings over pork before eating it. And just because it doesn’t kill you right away doesn’t mean, given time, it won’t.

Words of Encouragement

Jeremiah 24:6, 7  For I will set mine eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land: and I will build them, and not pull them down; and I will plant them, and not pluck them up. And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.

2 Chronicles 15:15  And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them, and the LORD gave them rest round about.
