Worship: Recipe for Success / Wellness: The REFRESHING Lifestyle

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  “God has promised success,” says Pastor Flemons. He then shared the biblically guaranteed step-by-step recipe for it found in Psalm 1.

First, you must get good counsel. Then you must walk in that good counsel, by living a godly life and surrounding yourself with godly Christians. Psalm 1:1 says it this way: “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.”

You have to be careful of who counsels you, says Pastor Flemons. If you take the advice of the ungodly, you will find yourself standing in the way of sinners, doing what sinners do and feeling comfortable about it. Next, you will find yourself sitting and keeping company with those who scorn God. It is a downward progression, says  Pastor Flemons. It will end in destruction and eternal loss.

When you make a full commitment to God and delight in His law, then your character will manifest meekness, kindness, and courtesy in and outside of the home. “Meekness,” says Pastor Flemons, “is the humility you maintain when you are done wrong.” And when you are born of the Holy Spirit, you will manifest the fruit of the Holy Spirit upon the heart.

The fruit is inner beauty shining out. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance (self-control). Inner beauty shining out is a powerful part of the recipe for success. The resulting promise is prosperity in every way.

The person who prospers in this way, according to God’s principles, can be assured that  “his leaf shall not wither.” In other words, whatever you do will prosper. Leaves, says Pastor Flemons, represent outer principles that should spring forth from within. When people first see you, there must be a signal that you belong to Christ, that you are a Christian. And at every stage of your faithful Christianity, God will prosper you, as He did with Joseph in Egypt: in Potiphar’s house, in the prison, and as governor of Egypt. In the same way, when you are faithful to God, you will have the favor of God.

Worship: For Health’s Sake  Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, reviewed the 10-point principle of biblical wellness.

The 10-point principle is encapsulated in the acronym REFRESHING. R is Rely on God. It relieves stress that would otherwise kill you. E is Eat healthy. You must eat a plant-based diet; it adds years to our lives. F is Fresh air. A continual supply of fresh air invigorates the blood. R is Rest. You must rest nightly by 9:30. In this way, the body is renewed to function the next day. E is Exercise! Vigorously exercising five times a week helps keep the blood strong and free of toxins. S is Self-control. Avoiding all harmful things and only doing in moderation those things that are good is essential to maintaining a healthy body and mind. H is H2O, drink water. Drinking in ounces half of your body weight in pounds is to be your daily minimum intake. It is essential for all channels of elimination. I is In the sun. Twenty minutes of sunlight is daily recommended. This is how you get your vitamin D, build your immune system, and lock calcium in your bones. N is Never give up. You must persevere. And the G is Give to others. God promises a special blessing to givers.

Genesis 5:24  Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.  (Also read Conflict and Courage, CC 29.)

Worship: Waiting for the Advocate / Wellness: Overcoming Fall Diseases, Flu

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  “In the most holy place in ‘His great and calm eternity,’ MH 417, the Father waits; here the two covering cherubim wait, . . . The four living creatures and the four and twenty elders wait. The vast multitude of angels wait; ‘in the presence-chamber of the King of kings, they wait–“angels that excel in strength, ministers of His, that do His pleasure,” “hearkening unto the voice of His word,” ten thousand times ten thousand and thousands of thousands.’ GC 511. All are waiting in earnest expectation.

“Why are they waiting? The Ancient of Days is on His throne; the assistant priests are on their thrones; angel witnesses are in their places; the Judgment is set, the books containing the life records of those who are to be judged, are opened, ready for examination. What is lacking? Still they wait; eagerly they wait. They wait for the arrival of the Advocate, Jesus Christ the righteous. 1 John 2:1. The Judgment cannot proceed until He comes–He who is to plead the merits of His blood for repentant sinners that their sins may be blotted out.”

He came. The judgment began. It continues. Since October 22, 1844, the judgment of every dead believer since Abel and every living professed believer has proceeded. Now, says Pastor Flemons, “Jesus is waiting on us to give Him our hearts.”

[For additional details, please read Daniel 7:9, 10; Revelation 3; 2 Thessalonians 2:2-4; and “Waiting for the Advocate” in Path to the Throne of God, by Sarah Elizabeth Peck. (PTG 151 original. PTG 207 new version. PTG 115 online.) Also, please listen to the recording and hear Pastor Flemons sing Hymn 289, “The Savior Is Waiting.”]

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that there are essentially ten diseases that are prevalent from September to April. He will discuss overcoming all ten in the upcoming days. But for the current presentation, he focused only on overcoming flu, which “causes fever, cough, sore throat and, in rare cases, death, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention” and as reported in the featured weather.com article.

He gave precautions and principles to follow to avoid getting the flu. It does not include the flu shot, which he does not recommend for anyone, young or old. The flu shot itself contains toxins, like mercury, and is one of the causes of autism and autoimmune diseases, he says.

We believe that drugs do not cure disease. We believe they do cause great harm at some later period, according to Ministry of Healing, page 126.3. We believe in keeping the immune system strong through diet and a healthy lifestyle, as expressed in the acronym REFRESHING.

Essentially maintaining and regaining health begins with relying on God; eating healthy, that is a total plant-based diet; daily getting fresh air, rest, and exercise; using self-control; daily drinking at least half your body’s weight in ounces of H2O–water; and spending about 20 minutes per day in the sun for vitamin D. Furthermore, we believe that you must never give up and you must be willing to give to others. Givers are reserved a special blessing of healing, according to Isaiah 58:6-8.

Then added help can be safely obtained through natural remedies, like lots of garlic and lemon, oregano, Rocket Fuel, elderberry, echinacea, and two of TOR’s herbal formulas: AAA Supertonic and Lung Immune Tea (call to order).

Psalm 34:7  The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear Him, and delivereth them. (Also read Pr 316.2.)

Worship: Pure Gold Table Dishes / Wellness: Seniors Who Walk Better, Talk Better

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  The sanctuary’s one table in the holy place not only bore a double crown of gold, as already discussed, but also bore dishes or vessels of pure gold. Gold in the sanctuary always represents divinity. The pure word of God is as pure gold. God serves His pure holy word on holy dishes, says Pastor Flemons. For “holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” Just as the eternal holy city of God is described as “pure gold” in Revelation 21:18, so is the eternal word of God. It shall endure for ever. Even man’s “word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver,” according to Proverbs 25:11. And Job (in 23:10), said that man, himself, when tried by God as a fit vessel or jewel, “shall come forth as gold.” Malachi confirms that, saying, “He shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness” (Malachi 3:3).

[For additional details, please read Exodus 37:16; Leviticus 24:5,6; Numbers 7:86; Psalm 33:6, 9; 1 Peter 1:24 and Isaiah 40:8. Also read “The Table Dishes of Gold” in The Path to the Throne of God: The Sanctuary, by Sarah Elizabeth Peck, PTG 120, 121 original; PTG 169 new edition; PTG 91, 92 online. Also listen to the recording and hear Pastor Flemons sing Hymn 229, “All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name.”

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, shared a health.news article that explained how important exercise is to the health of seniors. The article states that “older adults who move around a lot are better able to express themselves.” The tip-of-the-tongue phenomenon, also called a senior moment, “which occurs more frequently as people age,” is “directly correlated to the level of a person’s aerobic fitness.” A study showed that the higher the level of aerobic fitness, the lower the probability of experiencing a tip-of-the-tongue state or the lower the frequency of so-called senior moments. The article provides specific exercise tips for seniors. Pastor Flemons adds that seniors should adhere to the biblical wellness laws of health, as described in the acronym REFRESHING. The R is “Rely on God.” The E is “Eat healthy.” The F is “Fresh air.” The R is “Rest.” The second E is “Exercise.” The S is “Self-Control.” The H is “H2O, drink water.” The I is “In the sun.” The N is “Never give up.” And the G is “Give to others.” (For further details, please listen to the recording.)
