Worship: For Heaven’s Sake God directed Moses to build a sanctuary so that God could dwell with His people and show them the way to heaven.
Wellness: For Health’s Sake Clove oil is a simple-to-use and very effective dental pain reliever.
For Heaven’s Sake…
Exodus 25:8,9. “And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them. According to all that I show thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it. According to all that I show thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it.”
The sanctuary had three compartments: the Courtyard, the Holy Place, and the Most Holy Place. Its ceremonies foreshadowed things to come and pointed toward Jesus Christ, the savior of the world and minister of the sanctuary which the LORD pitched, and not man. (See Hebrews 8:2.)
In the Courtyard (or Outer Court), the brazen altar and laver were housed, representing the place where the repentant sinner receives justification are cleansed, respectively.
In the Holy Place, the table of shewbread, the golden candlesticks, and the altar of incense represent the place where sanctification takes place. The shewbread represents the Word of God, which shows us how to live. The altar of incense was lit twice daily and represents the prayers of the saints mingled with the prayers of Jesus Christ. The golden candlesticks signify the sharing of GOD’s Word or letting your light so shine that others see your good works and glorify GOD. Here is represented the prayer life of the believer, the studying of GOD’s Word and sharing Jesus, the Light, with the world.
In the Most Holy Place is the ark of the covenant, the Law of GOD. The Law is the transcript of GOD’s character. It shows the nature or heart of GOD. The Law is righteous. GOD is righteous. The Law is holy. GOD is holy. The Law is eternal. GOD is eternal. Here is where GOD saves to the uttermost.
Nevertheless, John 3:3 (last part) warns us: “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of GOD.”
For Health’s Sake…
The directions sound too simple: apply a small amount on a tooth stick and rub on gum. Then, massage. Clove oil (100%) is effective for relieving dental pain, sore gums and mouth ulcers. It contains 80-95% eugenol, which has been used in dentistry for many years because of its anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties.
According to organicfacts.net, in India, clove oil was traditionally applied to a small cotton ball and put at the end of the tooth with a cavity. This was repeated every day before bedtime until the cavity vanished. It normally took only a few days. As a result, clove oil has been added to numerous dental products and medications, including mouthwash and toothpaste.
In a diluted form, clove oil is used for teething infants.
A lively Q&A session involved listeners who revealed more suggestions for handling dental pain, sore gums or an abcess, based on personal experience:
- Potato poultice. Grate and simply place over tooth.
- Turmeric/honey. Mix turmeric in a paste of honey and apply.
A question regarding knee pain generated more discussion and suggestions:
- Get on an alkaline diet.
- Go on a juice fast. It reduces inflammation.
- Eat more raw foods for 7 – 10 days.
- Apply an onion poultice. Grate or chop the onion. Wrap inside a paper towel. Don’t leave on too long.
