Worship: The Gospel in the Circulatory System / Wellness: No Pain After Dental Surgery

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  The purpose of the temple was to reveal the plan of redemption. The Gospel has been taught through the sanctuary when it was a portable, movable, collapsible tent; then as a brick-and-mortar temple; and now, in the body temple.

Wellness: For Health’s Sake Pastor Flemons had dental surgery and prepared to be absent from the next day’s duties, as is normal. Instead, here’s what really happened.

For Heaven’s Sake…

Psalm 77:13 (first part), “Thy way, O GOD, is in the sanctuary.”

Habbakuk 2:20, “The LORD is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.”

1 Corinthians 6:19, “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of GOD, and ye are not your own?

As the Law of GOD is the foundation of the Gospel, the bones provide the framework for the human body. As faith in God’s Law must be exercised by works to grow and moves, muscles must be exercised for proper development and moves the body. As the plan of redemption is at the heart of salvation, the heart is central to the circulatory system in the human body. Like the tented temple of old and the brick-and-mortar temple of God, the body really does reveal the Gospel.

When the LORD put the heart and the circulatory system together, it is believed that He was illustrating the plan of redemption. Using the body, analogies can be created to show you where you are with God in your heart and in the plan of redemption. Another way of saying it is this: the circulatory system teaches spiritual development.

These are the high points from today’s broadcast:

Before reaching the heart, the blood is toxic and is without oxygen. This represents us in our unconverted human state without Christ.

The blood first moves into the right atrium, which is the small chamber on the upper right side of the heart. This represents the upper room where the disciples met and Jesus washed their feet. The disciples were not entirely converted. They were still fighting over who would be the greatest. But they were coming closer to Christ. (See Mark 14:15.) Mark 14:15, “And he will shew you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us.”

The blood drops through the tricuspid valve. This three-panel valve represents the three-part offer of Christ to forgive iniquity, transgression and sin. Exodus 4:7 (first part) reads, “Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin.”

Cords are attached to the tricuspid valve, making it look like a parachute and reminding us of Hosea 11:4 (first part); Jeremiah 31:3; and John 6:44, respectively: “I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love.” “The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.” “No man can cone to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.”

Through the tricuspid valve, the blood drops from the upper right chamber, or atrium, and is received into the lower right ventricle. This represents our acceptance of Christ as our savior. In other words, we receive Christ’s offer of salvation.

When we give our hearts to Christ, we want to make it public through the rite of baptism. Interestingly, the next thing that happens with the blood is that it goes through a down and up motion, like baptism by submersion. Matthew 3:11 reads, “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, … he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire.” This is the first of three baptisms.

As the blood moves to the bottom of the ventricle, the ventricle contracts and pushes the blood upward through one of two semilunar valves. The semilunar valve, like the half moon, represents the newly baptized or “half-grown” Christian, who still has a lot to learn and a lot of growth potential. Like the moon that only reflects the light of the sun, the Christian at this time only reflects the character of Christ, the Light of the world.

Next, the blood travels through the right and left pulmonary arteries and is pumped into the lungs, where the blood is oxygenated. This is also a down and up motion, representing the baptism of the Holy Spirit. John 20:22 reads, “And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto then, Receive ye the Holy Ghost.” John 3 the wind moves where it listeth.

From the lungs, the oxygenated blood returns up to the heart. It moves into the left atrium and passes through the pulmonary veins, the only veins that bring high-oxygenated, purified blood. Acts 1:13 tells of another upper room, where the disciples received the fullness of the power of the Holy Spirit, unlike in the previous upper room, where they were only half converted.

Now the blood moves through the bicuspid valve, a two-panel valve, representing God’s twofold method of sharing your faith, as described in Luke 9:1 and 2: “Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.”

Pastor Flemons reiterated the process:  once you are drawn to Christ, you are offered salvation, and you accept that offer and … keeping your eyes on Jesus, you say you want to serve Him for the rest of your life and you get baptized … and you go out and receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, you are now prepared to be trained as a Gospel medical missionary. You learn how to teach the truths of the Bible and to heal the sick.

There is another baptism. It is the baptism by fire. Isaiah 48:10 reads, “Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.” Christians must have trials. Fiery trials, they are called by Peter in 1 Peter 4:12 and 13, “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you…But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.” As GOD works in your life, you will one day perfectly reflect the image of GOD. That is the group, Pastor Flemons says, that has the name of GOD in their foreheads.

When the blood leaves the similunar valve and goes out through the aorta, the first exit lead to two holes (the coronary artery and coronary vein). Red and blue in color, the two colors combined yield the color purple. The coronary artery wraps around the heart and, together with its subarteries, present the visual resemblance of a crown of thorns.

John 19:1-5, “Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him. And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe. And said Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands. Pilate therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in him. Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man!

As Christians behold the man, Jesus Christ, we will more perfectly reflect HIM.

For Health’s Sake…

Pastor Flemons, in the days leading up to dental surgery, went on a juice fast to keep food out of his teeth. He applied a charcoal poultice to extract toxins and clove oil to kill germs and relieve pain and decrease swelling. He rinsed the mouth with coconut oil (known as oil pulling) to extract harmful bacteria from the gums. He used cayenne tincture to numb the pain. He also used the pulp of a juiced carrot as a poultice. It draws out toxins.

Resistant to dental surgery, Pastor Flemons finally felt impressed to allow an old friend, a dental surgeon, to extract his tooth by special arrangement. The surgeon normally does not pull teeth, but performs root canals.

He purchased valerian and white willow bark expecting pain. He had already carried with him Jamaican dogwood. He did take a bit of colloidal silver, expecting to really feel pain once the medicine wore off. However, he never experienced any more than a bit of sensitivity in the area of extraction and a slight irritation in the throat, possibly as a result of escaping toxins. No pain. No interruption in normal activity.

Hear his testimony for yourself.

Q&A

The Q&A segment revealed another symbolic link between GOD’s law and the human body. Just as the Law of GOD was placed on two tables of stone, joined together, so the heart’s left and right ventricles are joined together. This further represents GOD putting His Law in the heart.
