Depression and Exercise / A Double Mind

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Overcoming depression, Pastor Flemons says, includes exercise. Exercise rids the brain of toxins. It helps with digestion and with regulating blood sugar. It increases oxygen to the brain and helps with improving one’s mental outlook.

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Using James 1:8 as the key text, Pastor Flemons spoke on double-mindedness. “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” Such a person does not have peace of mind until he surrenders to Christ. We must be wholly Christ’s, His alone. If we are partially His, we are lukewarm according to Rev 3:16. God would rather we be hot or cold, never lukewarm. Neither does God want us to be His in letter only; for the letter kills (2 Cor 3:6). He wants us to worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:23, 24). All true worshippers do.

Friends, do what you can to help Times of Refreshing expand this month. Our plan is to contract to purchase property June 29. We believe GOD. And we thank you in advance for whatever gift GOD impresses you to give this month. We never again want to have to turn away needy persons. Ten were turned away in May alone. The demand is here. We simply want to meet it, by GOD’s grace. And with your help, we can.
