Wine / Blasphemy

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Using the companion texts Daniel 7:25 and Revelation 13:5,6, we learned that the great words spoken against God is referring to blasphemy. Mark 2:7 clarifies that a man who claims to forgive sins is a blasphemer. One who confesses sin to God is forgiven (1 John 1:9) and empowered to live a new life. That is the gospel. The system of confession to a man interrupts that process. That is sin.

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  In 1 Timothy 5:23, the wine recommended for stomach ailments refers to grape juice. Alcoholic drinks are never used to heal stomach aches. Pastor Flemons shared a study of cravings for alcohol.

Q&A Questions surrounded cravings for alcohol and baking soda, whether potato chips deplete minerals in the body, and whether eating sprouted tomatoes is safe.
