Matthew 17, Faith and Overcoming Cravings and Strongholds

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Matthew 16:15-19 and 18:18 are misused to cause people to believe they have been given power to forgive sin, which is blasphemy according to Mark 2:7, and to lay claim that the church was built upon Peter, the apostle, rather than upon the Rock, Christ Jesus. Matthew 17 reveals the powerlessness of the disciples without obedience, prayer and fasting. Matthew 18 shows a process to follow and have His power for binding and loosing on earth and in heaven. (Read 2 Corinthians 10:3-5.)

Wellness: For Heaven’s Sake  Cravings, which may be the harrassment of satanic forces, can be overcome by obedience to God’s lifestyle of eating healthy; getting fresh air, proper rest, and adequate exercise; exercising self-control; drinking sufficient water daily; getting adequate sunlight; never giving up (praying more); and giving to others as you are able. These are beneficial for overcoming unhealthy tendencies. (Read Mark 9:23.)
