For Heaven’s Sake…
- The dead know nothing. Even their memory is gone.
- Their bodies return to dust (earth).
- Their spirit, which is the breath they breathed, returns to God.
- The body formed by God, plus the breath that comes from God, makes a dead soul a living soul. People don’t have souls. People are souls.
- The living soul can die.
So what are you seeing when “the dead” appears right before your face? They are the seducing spirit of devils.
Revelation 16:14 tells us that the spirits of devils are able to work miracles. The Bible puts such experiences in the category of witchcraft. “And he caused his children to pass through the fire … and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger” (2 Chronicles 33:6). The Bible says “Saul died for his transgression, which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it” (1 Chronicles 10:13). The Bible says “evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived” (2 Timothy 3:13). The Bible says, “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils” (1 Timothy 4:1).
Friends, GOD doesn’t want us to be deceived by the spirits of devils, which prey on the emotional longings of human beings for the loss of loved ones and lead them away from GOD and truth.
