Worship: For Heaven’s Sake Pastor Flemons presented an overview of the second compartment of the sanctuary: the Holy Place. Opening with the reading of Psalm 46 and Hebrews 8:1-5, Pastor Flemons reiterated that the sanctuary is the first scaled model in history and best explains the plan of redemption. As in the courtyard justification is obtaining salvation through pardon for sin and a new heart, so in the Holy Place sanctification is the abstaining power to resist sin. It is a growth process that draws strength from the Word of God (represented by the table of shewbread), prayer (represented by the altar of incense), and shining or witnessing for Christ (represented by the golden candlestick). In the Holy Place, listener’s learned, is symbolized why prayers must be offered in the name of Jesus.
Wellness: For Health’s Sake Right things to avoid at wrong times include eating just before going to bed, drinking with meals, exercising too close to mealtimes, and eating between meals. Doing these right things at wrong times can lead to leaky gut syndrome, heart attacks, cancer, arthritis, diabetes, and other diseases, says Pastor Flemons, who also assured listeners that it is never the right time to do the wrong thing.
QT/QT Q&A surrounded the symbolism of the table of shewbread, the golden candlestick, the movement of Jesus among the seven candlesticks, and SOP. The baking soda/molasses remedy was provided upon request. It was noted that remedies that include baking soda and coffee are not endorsements for using them as dietary ingredients or foods.
